will you please let me out of this cage?, I swear I won't attack any more, you don't need to hear me whine, we've been down that road before....twice bitten the hand that feeds me friendship, I see the bite marks on you arm, you're bearing scars that I have caused when you've never caused me harm, twice bitten and twice removed, I've become an animal I dispise, take me away to the pound where I can be euthanized, you took in a mutt and showed him love, while other's gave me the shove, now I sleep in trash on my floor because I don't deserve comfort anymore, you can come kick me until I'm dead but I'd rather you hug me instead, I construct your smile in my mind because your picture I can't find, I thought losing my sight was the worst thing I could face but my heart is not in my retinal space, I've got a needle and some thread and I want to help things mend, dogs like me can't sew very well but I don't want this ride for us to end, I'll muzzle myself from now on even remove some of my teeth, under all the hurt and scars there's still friendship underneath, please don't let me slip away, retribution I will pay, could you help me wash off my sins and let the sunshine in? you have been the perfect friend taken for granted in the end, they say "you don't know what you got till its gone" I've been a blind hatred's pawn, I'm not gonna plead anymore you've drowned me out and shut the door, I Love You even if things don't work out I've been deaf to what friendship's really all about, I'll stay waiting forever more hoping against hope you'll come to the door, I'll sit desist and cease and hope that from this nightmare I'll be released
