Hello my beautiful readers! Right now, I am VERY happy. Guess where I went?
Kibum made some time in our schedule today to take me to the Seoul English Village! Don't worry, it's different from the one where we went to during Full House. Anyway, we had sooo much fun there, and we talked more about the English language! But However, I don't see how it is making my language skills better.
But Kibum disagrees. He thinks I'm doing a REAL good job and that I am improving faster than he did when he learned English.
Awww, how sweet! [ahem] But However, we're just only friends. Okay? Don't get any ideas that I'm suddenly going to like him all because of my English lessons, okay? Don't get ANY thoughts like that.
Today, he taught me do's and don'ts. Here are some of the stuff he taught me:
1. DO keep the conversation with a foreigner interesting. Make sure they understand what you are trying to interpret.
DON'T be too influenced or the foreigner will be slightly put off
2. DO talk about interests and stay on topic, unless the foreigner changes the subject or if there is an awkward silence.
DON'T talk about different things at different times. For example, don't talk about one thing and say another when you are not finished with the first topic.
3. DO make sure that you have good manners and to say, "Excuse me?" before talking over the foreigner.
DON'T interrupt the foreigner when they are speaking. It'll make them feel uncomfortable and/or used.
Why are there so much regulations and other things I need to follow? Is America really that strict?
Kibum told me no. It is just American culture. That's the way to engage into a nice, calm conversation.
Then that just made me think of a question: What if it isn't a "nice, calm conversation"? What if you were fighting with the person? Is there any comeback words to say to that person when they are mean to you and treat you with no respect?
Kibum laughed out loud. What? Did I say something? Of course I did! I asked a question! Kibum said that's just nonsense and that there will never be such a situation where that would happen.
Well, you never know for sure, can you??? CAN YOU???? I KNOW WHERE YOU ALL LIVE!!!!!!
Hahahaha, sorry about that. I just want to give that a try, because Kangin taught me that. [knock out]
Ahh!!! Knock out!! [sings] I wanna knock out!!! @
