On a rainy Monday, Lisa was running towards her older brothers' apartment. She had great news for them. Eeteuk asked for her to find a way to trick her 3 seniors into bringing them into the woods that the SuJu Shapeshifters work in. And then finally, she convinced them to go over there this weekend.
[Flashback: Last Friday; 3 PM]
"Stop lying to us and tell us the truth! Tell us you're lying!" one male senior was holding Lisa by the collar, and choking her. "I'm not lying to you! there is a new drug store that has opened in the woods." Lisa barely said, inhaling as hard as she could to breathe. It came out as a gasp. Another older senior walked towards the girl and commented, "Those woods have been abandoned for 15 years. There's nothing there." Lisa shook her head, and debated, trying to think of a good lie. "Trust me! My new foster parents are rich and they have hi-tech computer devices. And I use the highly accurate news updates and I found out that there is a drug store in the heart of the woods." The third senior shook his head and murmured to himself, "That is one dumb clerk, to open a store that nobody will ever go to."
The choke started worsening, as Lisa struggles for her last breath, squirming in her senior's hands. "If you lie to us, your profits are going to go down." his grip has gotten tighter, and so has his tone. "You understand??" Lisa, with fear in her eyes, nodded helplessly, as she was dropped to the ground, gasping for air. The head leader looked down at her, and spat in her face. "Let's go." he said, as he walked away with his posse following him. Lisa, adjusting her collar and watching the 3 older brothers leave, shook her head and thought to herself, "I really do hope this turns out well..."
Lisa was knocking on the door, anticipating to see what her oppas have to say about how well the plan as turned out. Yesung opened the door for her, with obviously swollen eyes. "Oh my goodness, Yesung. Are you alright?" Yesung nodded and whispered, "Yeah I'm fine." Lisa pouted slightly, and gave Yesung a pat on the back. "Well, whatever the situation, I hope you feel better. Where's Eeteuk?"
Kangin, out of nowhere, arrived and waved happily. "Hey Lisa! Sorry, Eeteuk went out for a moment to do an errand for Manager hyung. Do you want something to drink?" Lisa, unsure about the sudden change of character with Kangin, became uneasy. "Ummm... I'm good, thanks." Kangin shrugged, "Are you sure? Eeteuk would want you to get something to drink and get comfortable." Lisa nodded, and thought. "I guess I'll have some water then." Kangin smiled and nodded, "Okay." as he happily went to the kitchen to get Lisa a glass of water. Lisa curiously followed him to the kitchen.
"Kangin?" she dared herself to call him, "oppa?" "yes?" Kangin replied happily. Okay, something is up. Lisa thought. "I need to ask you something." "Shoot." Kangin said, handing Lisa her cup of water. "Thanks. Why are you... suddenly nice to me?" Kangin sighed, and gestured his hand towards the dining table. "Please sit, and I'll explain." Lisa did accordingly and placed her cup on the nearest coaster, as she watched Kangin sit in the chair across from her. "I changed because I knew we had to work together eventually. I didn't want any disputes between both of us, so I changed. And why are you looking around the cup?" Kangin was watching Lisa confusingly as she spun the cup around slowly and smelled the water in the glass. She suddenly looked up and laughed nervously. "I just wanted to check if it's... purified." Kangin sighed, as if he read her mind, and answered, "I did not poison it. I would never do that. I'm not that evil." Kangin smirked, which made Lisa shiver nervously.
Kangin sighed again. "Any friend of Eeteuk is a friend of mine. So, are we cool?" he lend out a hand, waiting for Lisa to shake it. Lisa stared down at the hand for a while, then looking around it. Is there a buzzer on there? she wondered. When she found out that Kangin really meant it, she smiled gently and shook his hand. "Yeah. We're cool." "Good." Kangin said happily. Lisa smiled, as she saw Kangin's lips smile back. "If there's anything you need, I'm there for you." Lisa nodded and casually said, "Thanks."
Eeteuk was walking around the store, when he suddenly got a text from his phone. He slid opened his phone and read the text from Kangin. "Hyung, Lisa is at home right now. I am taking good care of her. No worries(: -Kangin" Eeteuk smiled and then his smiled faded. "Oh no. 'Take good care of her'? what is that supposed to mean?" he was afraid that Kangin was actually 'taking care of her', by doing... ughh, he didn't even want to think about it. He quickly took care of his errands and drove his way home, expecting the worse from Kangin.
"This is so fun. I can't believe that same woman from the immigration office is still there." Eunhyuk said, with a little bit of humor in his tone. "I know. Did you see her face when she saw you?" Eunhyuk laughed out loud, "She looked like she was going to explode. Me being the first guy to be rejected last time." Donghae laughed as well, recapping the memory. "Then she asked me where Kibum was. I was like, 'Ummm... at home I guess.'" Eunhyuk chuckled. "Then she wanted our address and phone numbers." they both laughed.
Donghae sighed. "We had such good memories. And now we have new ones to remember even longer." Eunhyuk threw his left arm across Donghae's shoulder and chuckled. "And we even have pictures if those memories don't last long." Donghae nodded happily. "But I wonder how Yesung's doing. He seemed pretty depressed the other day." Eunhyuk sighed, "Yeah I know. But at the same time, Sungmin and Ryeowook seem pretty happy now." "Yeah, they got back together." Eunhyuk let his arm down from Donghae's shoulders. "Are you serious?" Eunhyuk asked, with shocked eyes. Donghae nodded and smiled gently. "I find it to be great, but Yesung seemed pretty disappointed. Maybe he really did like Ryeowook." Eunhyuk sighed, and placed his hands behind his head. "I feel really bad for him. But don't you think Yesung can find someone new?" Donghae pursed his lips to one side, and sat down on the nearest bench, as Eunhyuk sat next to him.
"He might. But for him, it might not be the same." Donghae said, playing with his fingers. "Yeah that is true. I really wish that Yesung gets better though. I hate seeing him like this." Donghae nodded in agreement. "Yeah. He's even worse than Kangin was." "By the way, I wonder how Lisa and Kangin are doing. I heard Eeteuk is panicking and is on his way home right now." Donghae tilted his head, wondering, "Why is he panicking?" Eunhyuk shrugged. "I don't know. I guess he thinks that Kangin's going to hurt Lisa or something." Donghae sighed and shook his head. "Eeteuk needs to trust Kangin. Kangin isn't that bad. I mean, he may stash through your underwear drawers and break your guitar strings but..." Eunhyuk held back a laugh. "... he wouldn't do anything worse than that." Eunhyuk nodded, then sighed as he looked up at the sunset sky. "for some reason, I sense some bad things for Kangin and Eeteuk..."
Eeteuk was panting as he pressed the code number to open the door. He opened the door and looked around for Kangin and Lisa. He finally saw them both in the living room, playing Rock, Paper, Scissors. Eeteuk, unaware of the smiling faces, went over to Kangin and asked, "What are you doing?" Kangin looked up, and answered, "We're playing Rock, Paper, Scissors. You wanna play?" Lisa looked up at Eeteuk, with slightly pleading eyes. Eeteuk took Lisa by the arm and stood her up. "No I don't want to play. Are you okay?" he asked Lisa. Lisa, with a confused face, answered, "I'm fine. Why are you so worried?" Eeteuk faced Kangin and angrily asked, "Why would you do this to an innocent girl?" Kangin stood up, and angrily shouted back, "Why does everyone assume things? I'm not that evil! And now," Kangin's right eye released a tear. "you even think that way." Kangin took one last look, and stormed out the door. @
