It's been awhile.
Report XXXIII.
Xikaelam and I both hopped of the roof and began to run away from the house. We ran down the street with the street lights shining with its dusk glow within the moon lit night. I noticed that Xikaelam was running a bit faster since the moon was still out with the power regenerating her.
“What’s the plan?” she asked panting as we ran.
“We gotta figure out on where we are first.” I answered, “But in order to figure that out, we need a local map with a local navigator.”
“Yeah, where are we going to find someone like that?”
“How the hell should I know? We just go along with it. Try to figure out the natural habitat here. What people are like, how things are done, the rules we must face. These are normal things that we must think when we enter a new world. Better yet, a new galaxy.”
“Hmm...good point. Well who do you think takes care of all the rules around here?”
“I’m not sure, but maybe we can ask a few people.”
We finally reached the main road, but it was interesting on what we found. There were these machines using four wheels with lights moving with a person inside controlling on the direction it went. There were only 2 main directions since it was a 2 half way street. We both looked very confused.
“What are those things?” I asked.
“I...don’t know...” Xikaelam answered, “But they look pretty cool.” She looked back pointing a thumb in the direction. “These are the same machines that were on the driveways of the houses. A lot of them are different designs too.”
“I wonder what their called...” I stated watching as each one passed by us with great speed. I was lucky to see what some of the people looked like within the vehicles. They were much older and were attired in fairly normal clothes. I pierced down upon my coat and began to unzip it.
Xikaelam turned and noticed on what I was doing. “What are you doing?!? That shows that your apart of the Organization XIII and now you’re quitting it?”
“The Organization is dead. Only four remain and thirteen have fallen. I don’t think loosing my coat for awhile will harm no one. Now, are you going to try to fit in or just give up yourself?”
She looked down at the coat. “But it’s comfy. Anyways, it shows who we truly are.”
I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, we’re Nobodies. No body cares about us and never will.” I removed my coat and gloves. I shoved the gloves within the inner coat pockets and wrapped the coat sleeves around my waist. I put them within a knot and showed that I was within dark jean, a ripped sleeved gray t-shirt with normal looking running shoes.
Xikaelam began to unzip her coat and did the same as me. She was in different clothes of course. She had on a pair of jeans with a belt on them and ripped holes on the knee caps. She had on a fairly tight white tank top and normal shoes as well. “You sure we’re going to be alright?”
I looked over at her as if she was stupid. “Of course we are. And whoever offends us will get beaten up by us. Does that sound like a good plan?”
She then changed her expression and looked determined now. She nodded. “That’s fine by me. Let’s just get this over with.”
“There ya go. That’s the type of attitude I’m lookin’ for. Let’s go look for some information now.”
We began to walk on the sidewalk with no worry at all. We just waited until someone would pass by so we could ask for directions. For about 7 minutes, we just wondered down this sidewalk going west. But then, a jogger came running with a cassette player. He had on short shorts, a gray cotton tank top, and a headband. His black hair was spiking since the headband was on and he was sweating. We stopped and blocked his way as he came jogging towards us.
He looked curious and stopped in front of us panting. “Move out of the way kids. I got a schedule to keep up.”
I looked over at Xikaelam then back at the man. “Do you mind telling us where we can find an information booth?”
“An information what? Look kid, if you’re talking about the Police Station, then head there. Those guys can tell you on what you need. Now if you don’t mind, move out of my god damn way!”
He then shoved me out of the way and began to jog again. I was on the ground and I glared over at him. I jumped up and was attempting to shoot Nothingness at him, but Xikaelam got in front of me.
“Don’t do it,” she stated, “It’ll just cause a distraction to everyone. Anyways, it seems that they don’t really have any type of elements by what I see. Look around you.”
I lowered my arm and did so.
“People are in vehicles, nature looks fairly normal, and the habitat seems to argue and change at every moment. It’s like a swarm that comes within you and attacks without anything to say at all. They crave something, but don’t know what it is. They just play along and try not to mess with their reality.”
I then looked back at her and smirked, “When did you get so smart?”
“Pretty much whenever I’m around you.” Xikaelam then pushed me out of the way and took lead. “We have a new task now and it’s to find this Police Station. Got any ideas on where to start on this one?”
I was about to answer then all of a sudden we heard sirens. The noise was a pattern sound that had long motions. It went high, it went low, it went fast, and it went slow. It was constant motion and it was surprisingly moving. It passed by us like a flash. It was shining of blue and red spins on top of the vehicle. It drove away into the night as though it was going to an emergency, to seek justice.
Xikaelam then turned to me looking a bit stunned. “You think that was them?”
“I know that was them,” I replied, “On the side of the car it said ‘POLICE’ in big bold letters. I got a street name as well called ‘Westgate’.”
“Westgate? Where are we going to find that?”
“Here of course. They wouldn’t come from another part of the Earth since they seem not to have the type of technology.”
We began to continue our walk on the street called ‘W 103’. We were still wondering around this place, but I had hope that we would be able to find our destination on time. We then arrived on a crossroad street. I was about to cross the street until a whole raid of cars came and drove by. Xikaelam was just standing there pushing a button.
“You gotta push this to cross you moron.”
“Who are you callin’ a moron?” I said walking toward her, “You seem so confident now. Why is that?”
“Where do I start?” Xikaelam said in a serious yet gentle voice now. “I’ve pretty much found hope.”
A light turned on with the shape of a man walking in a light bluish/green color. That gave the sign to cross so we carried on.
“How did you find this hope?” I asked back.
“For starters, you came and found me again when I was alone in the World That Never Was. You showed me something new and now we’re here looking for our trues and why we are meant to be here. I just find it amazing to see that our journey is almost complete.”
We were on the sidewalk now, and I froze. Complete did she say? Does that mean that I won’t exist anymore? Would this mean that I won’t be with Xikaelam anymore?
Xikaelam noticed I stopped and was a little bit worried. “Hey, you alright?” she asked waving her hand in front of me.
My eyes were beginning to turn into the blood shots again. I looked down and say my hands beginning to fade. No...not now. I wouldn’t let this happen to me now. I won’t fall now. I will stand strong and stay within the motion I was meant to stand.
Xikaelam noticed the change in my eyes. “Great,” she said sarcastically, “You gonna pass out on me now? Well guess what Xeggr? I know what this is about.”
I then actually heard her. I looked up at her desperate, waiting for an answer.
“You feel alone right?” she said so calmly.
I wide eyed her, but then felt guilty since she was right. So all I did was look down to not show my face.
She took a deep breath. “You’re not alone. You’re a Nobody and I am one too. Maybe I don’t understand your thoughts and maybe I don’t know your ways of sight, but I do know this: We love each other by heart. You, me. We’re one if we work together and this, this place. Look around...”
I did so and looked up and around. It was beginning to become morn’. The sun was rising in a slow pace while on the opposite end of west a moon shunned with the dawn sky. I looked back at her and smiled. “Eh, you may be right.” I said sarcastically.
My shots then began to fade away and we carried on.
Report XXXIV.
We carried on in mere silence now upon a highway as people call it. We only spoke to show on where we were and where we needed to go. I began to take the visions and data of this planet by what I saw. I now know that this place isn’t small, but in fact very large. It may have different cultures since no one dresses the same style or the same opinions on things.
Basically, this planet is a mess. There’s no peace, but respect amongst others. Much chaos happens day after day and none do anything about it, but only try. It’s a war zone that people just walk through. It’s horrible to see this. You’d expect a happy area of norm where there are no complications of disaster or fear, but to find what is called a civilization almost destroyed. Although they do stand, although they do survive, although they live, there is all within them a deep cut guilt, suffering, and fear.
They can’t run, they walk. They walk along as if nothing happened within their area and think only of their needs. Maybe people think different in this, or maybe they actually care, but what they don’t know that there is more. They don’t see it, but think too much on what they need by their needs and hopes. Each one is individual and not with another. This in which is why love exists.
Love... Not much I can say about that. I have no heart, so only the heart of my own can feel that. I only hope that he feels it with Mikaela and not some other girl that does not understand him. Although I know nothing of him, there is a feeling that says that no one could ever understand him even if he told someone.
Getting out of my head, I see on where we are so far. I see that we’re at the end of a road, the highway people say. Of course, we didn’t cross this one, but just turned south, or right you could say. We were still walking in silence since I think Xikaelam knew that I was within deep thought.
Out of the blue I spoke: “Hey...” I said in a soft voice with the morning sun shining in my hair.
She turned with a bolt of lightning to wonder what I was about to say.
I actually made a small smile for once, “Thank you...”
She looked stunned and yet confused. “Why a thank you?” she asked.
“You showed me something that I’d never think of. I may feel nothing, but I thought that I could also see nothing. You...you’re not nothing. You’re a someone, someone to me at least.”
She smiled back.
I then continued: “I keep having this feeling that Greg is just about to get destroyed by something and I wonder by what it would be. It’s pretty much saying that it’s right in front of me and I can’t see it. The only thing I see is nothing...”
Xikaelam then held my hand, “I’m here. I’ll be the light that brightens your day. I’ll be here for you and don’t ever doubt that.”
I kept my smile, “I won’t, and don’t ever forget about this feeling.”
She leaned her head against my shoulder and closed her eyes, “I won’t...”
I wanted to cry, but I couldn’t. I can’t feel, I have no emotion. It wouldn’t let me do the ways of being whole.
We continued to walk and found ourselves near a type of small shopping area. There weren’t many stores, but there was one that interested me most. The place was called ‘7-11’. Since we were both starving, we head over there.
We entered the shop with my lead. It was like a small knick-knack store filled with small treats, drinks, and some actually food. I mostly saw candy and a drink called ‘slushy’. Xikaelam had a light glow for she dashed over to the candy area. I shook my head and went to the front desk.
There was a slightly old man stand behind the register. He was looking a little rough, but I knew he liked where he stood with his job. I reached into my pocket and pulled out some Munny.
“We’ll take whatever she puts on this desk.” I said as I waited for an answer.
He looked down at me then at the Munny. He picked one up and it had a bright gold glow to it. He did a soft smile. “This gold, son?” he asked.
“It’s a type, yes. Will that count as money here?”
“I let it fly I guess.”
I did a small smile and head for the slushy area.
Xikaelam returned to the desk with a lot of different types of candy. She looked as though excited to finally try something new and not so boring. I always noticed that she never really was fond of Xaldin and Vexen’s cooking.
Of course, Vexen would try to put chemicals and things that he’s test from within his food or even Xaldin’s. They would come out awful. To make eating fun though, I put mine on Axel’s plate and watch him just burn it to ashes. I thought it was quite entertaining.
The seating arrangement was pretty interesting in fact at the dinner table. Of course across from each other at the long ends were The Superior and I. To the right side of Xemnas and down were Xigbar, Vexen, Zexion, Axel, Luxord, Larxene, and Xirks. From the left side of him were Xaldin, Lexeaus, Saïx, Demyx, Marluxia, Roxas, and Xikaelam.
I thought it was great for me since my two best friends sat next to me while my mentor was across the table. The first six members would talk to each other about plots and would at times mess around, but Xemnas, Zexion, and Lexeaus would stand out on those parts. I know Axel, Demyx, and Xigbar would mess around the most.
It would be Xemnas and I kept an eye on things, but for opposite reasons. Xirks, Xikaelam and I talked a lot just on normal conversation. Xikaelam would often chat with Larxene since they are the only girls within the Organization XIII. Roxas liked to join our conversations and often pulled pranks with Axel and us at times. I don’t want to know what Maluxia did, but have fun with himself and Luxord would go around making bets and starting games on the other members.
All these didn’t happen only around the table, but around the castle as well. We all had a good time...until they left. 5 of the members left and hid from us thinking that the Organization XIII was lacking upon work. Marluxia was in charge now with Vexen and Larxene by his side. While Zexion, Lexeaus, and Vexen (again) worked on other plans. They were mainly after Sora while the other was head on to Riku. Now, Xemnas wanted to know more so he sent me and Axel as double agents.
This was one of my top missions and man, did I have a blast. Although I switched back and forth with the teams in Castle Oblivion, I had fun with searching through their work. Though, it felt as if I was lost as well. It was like apart of me gone, though still alive. There was one girl to keep me in motion during that phase and her name was Naminé.
She was beautiful and so young. I have written about her in these reports, but haven’t really revealed my past about her. She was only 14 when I met her. I may have been thirteen, but I wasn’t at all less intelligent as her. She spoke as if she really had a heart; which was very rare to find. She was...different you could say. She had the power to change memories with new, but she didn’t like it.
She was mainly forced by Marluxia to perform this job. Each time she messed around with Sora while within the castle, she felt even worse for what she had done. I was there to stay by her side no matter what even when she was down. We’d talk and try to laugh by the least, but I never really saw her truly smile.
After that, she told me the feeling that was crushing me. She said that I have another part of me still existing. Some Nobodies suffer this by them not knowing the truth. For when she told me, I left without a sight. I arrived at the castle for I was about to leave to find the truth. I didn’t want to leave just yet though. I wanted to wait for the right moment to know when to leave.
After about 5 months of waiting and studying of finding no answers, I’m about to head out. But unfortunately, Axel seemed to find out. He told The Superior and he was outraged. He called a meeting to discuss about the reasons. He sent in one of the rookies still and Xikaelam rushed in. She was to exterminate me, once and for all.
With hearing that, she was crushed. She didn’t want to get rid of one of her dearest friends, so all she did was knock me out. With worry, she hid me to Twilight Town. Xikaelam knew that I would no matter what still try to find Greg, but she didn’t want that just yet. I would get killed! So as a back-up, she took me to Naminé.
Xikaelam convince her to erase my memory. She did so and said that she would look after me here within Twilight Town. After that process, she put me in an alley way 7 months later and I was confused and out of it. That is to where my reports begin.
“Xeggr! XEGGR!!!” said and obnoxious voice.
I shot up and saw that we were on the outside of the gas station. I shook my head and looked at her. “Sorry, I was within deep thought of the past.”
With that said, we started to look for the police station.
Report XXXV.
Right when we were about to leave, I stopped instantly with a slushy up to my mouth. I turned back and head into the gas station again. I just blocked Xikaelam for whatever she did. I entered back within and approached the old man at the front desk. I asked, “Do you know where I can find Westgate Street?”
He gave me a curious look, but the changed it in an instant. “Yes I do son, but what interest do you have on it?”
“I’d just like to know since I have an old relative on the street.” I lied.
“Oh, in that case then. It’s down 119th west and on the left side of the road. You can’t miss it.” He smiled.
I gave a smirky smile, “Thank you again sir.” I then now started to now truly leave the station.
Xikaelam was just waiting outside enjoying herself with all of her candy. She was acting a little shaky and I was wondering. She began to talk at a fast motion: “Do you want a bite? NO! No candy for you? Have you ever tried this? Cuz’ its REEEEEAAAALLY GOOD!!!!”
I just looked down and shook my head as we got back on the sidewalk. I attempted to hit her in the back of the neck, but caught my hand. We stopped and I was shocked. She turned her head slowly and had her wolf glare in her eyes. I wide eyed and knew that she was about to use her element. She summoned her katanas as they came out slowly. I tried to summon a dark portal, but it wouldn’t let me. The gravity here was too strong! With that thought in mind, I examine on what will happen to Xikaelam.
She started to get weaker. She let go of me and grabbed her head. The katanas began to decrease in an instant as she fell to her knees. I knelt down by her and tried to help her up. She was very weak now and was unconscious. I was holding her now in front of me using my right arm to support her back while my left supported her legs.
I took the directions the old man told me to go and I found myself in front of a police station. I took a deep breathe and head for the door. I entered to find a bit of little. There was a front desk with a person behind it within a blue uniform. He was equipped with gadgets and weapons around his waist. There were other chairs and a doorway that lead to another room.
He looked up and noticed I entered. The man was a little large and had a goatee. He looked nice, but was serious about things. He gave me a weird look as though I shouldn’t be here. He looked at me and saw that I was holding an unconscious girl. She shot up and gave me a glare. “Is she hurt?!?” he asked with a serious tone.
“Um...no sir. She’s just a little tired. We’ve sort of been on a long walk and I guess she got tired and fell asleep. We haven’t eaten anything that good in hours and seem to be a bit desperate.” I answered as a truthful reply.
I looked around to find a bench and laid her down upon it. I took the cot off of my waist and set it underneath her head as a pillow. The man was cautious to my movement and actions. I looked up at him and stood at the desk now.
“Now sir, can you please help us? We come in peace.”
He gave me one more weird look and sat before his chair. “What’s this about kid?”
“Well, we’re looking for the police station. Is the correct place?”
“Uh...” the man began sarcastically, “I believe the cars, uniform, and badge don’t lie. Is this a serious matter?”
“Yes it is,“ I replied, “I’m just looking for a friend of mine and don’t know the address. Do you have the navigation system to show in that direction?”
“Yes I do. What’s his name?”
“Well, his name is Greg.....uh....Greg...”
“Greg what?”
I thought for a moment and was completely lost. I was so brain dead that I didn’t even remember on what to do next. It was like I was thinking way to fast or I had way too much on my mind.
“I believe it’s Chambon.” a voice said from the back.
I turned to find Xikaelam awake sitting up. I sighed in relief for she was right. “That’s right, his name is Greg Chambon.”
The police officer wide eyed me. “I know him! He’s my doctor. You seem kinda young to be his friend though.”
I was confused. “That’s strange. How could a 14 year old be a doctor?”
“A 14 year old?” the officer laughed, “He’s not 14. He has to at least be around his 40s.”
I was panicking now. “WHAT?!?! How could this be?!?”
“Oh, then you must be talking about his son, Gregory.” The officer said again.
I was grabbing my head, but after hearing that looked up. “Wait, he lives with his parents?”
“That’s how it goes kid. You have parents until you’re old enough to have an education and age to live alone. Don’t you have parents?”
I was freaking out. I had to sit down, so I neared for a chair.
Xikaelam was clueless about all of this and was cool about it. “I don’t see any harm within it. Sure, you didn’t see a kid driving one of those cars out there right? I mean, maybe he isn’t as smart as you hoped.”
I shook my head with my eyes closed. “I hope he just isn’t irresponsible for others.”
The police officer was concerned now. “Um, if you don’t mind me askin’, but are you from around here?”
Xikaelam walked up to the front desk. “Can you keep a secret?”
“It depends on the secret.”
I got up and moved by her. “It’s no easy fact, but we can prove it.”
“You see...” Xikaelam began, “We aren’t human we’re Nobodies.”
There was a long pause. The officer began to laugh. “A Nobody? You mean like someone who doesn’t care?” He just began to laugh some more.
Xikaelam looked over at me sort of worried. I was looking down pissed. My eyes turned to shots. I shot my head up and glared at him.
He noticed me and his laugh silenced. He looked a little terrified. “Whoa...You alright?”
“What does it look like old man? I need answer and I need them now and if I don’t get them in 30 seconds you’ll never regret to have ever lived.”
The man shook his head. “And how will that be done kid?”
I moved my hand up and Nothingness wrapped around his neck. He was beginning to choke. “Like this. Now, will you listen?”
I could here him gag. He grabbed the strap of Nothingness with his hands trying to escape. Since he couldn’t speak, he nodded to a yes.
I smirked and let him down. He fell and was panicking. He was gasping for air. I turned to Xikaelam. “Lock the doors. He might try to contact someone. If he does that then we’re screwed.”
Without a word, she rushed and locked them all. She returned to find the officer in his chair still trying to breathe.
“Alright, this is how it’s done.” I said really serious now. “You give me the location and we leave like nothing happened at all. Got it?”
He nodded once again and went to the computer. In the next 15 seconds, he gave me a printed piece of paper of the directions I needed to go. I grabbed the paper then he held a pistol right to my forehead.
With a swallow he said, “Now this is what YOU’RE going to do. You’re going to sit here while I get the others for back up to know that you are totally out of the norm. Now, will you cooperate?”
With that I smirked, “Don’t make me laugh old man. I tried to respect you, and you’re holding a gun to a 14 year olds head. People will think you’re crazy. There’s no way that you have proof.”
He began to lower the gun while I grabbed the paper. He sat in the chair once again while he was trying to relax.
“Thank you for the visit sir. Now if you don’t mind,” I closed my eyes as the turned back to normal when I opened them again, “I’ve got to find my true.”
“But-“ said the old man, but was too late. Xikaelam was behind him and had knocked him out. The pistol dropped out of his hand. Xikaelam reached down and put it back. She unlocked all of the doors and had reset all of the technology. We both left the building in a flash.
We were back now upon the main road on the south side of the road. I was determined now and had no way of messing around. I looked up at the sun and it looked like that it was around 3:00pm. I didn’t care about anything else that was around me, I just wanted to find Greg!
Xikaelam was trying to keep up with me. “Hey Xeg-“
“WHAT!?!” I yelled furiously. I turned and glared at her with my blood shot eyes that appeared again.
Xikaelam jumped a little. She looked a little scared. “I was going to ask you something, but if you’re going to act like this then why bother?”
I looked and felt even more pissed off. I clinched my fist ready for an attack. But then I remembered something. Why would I hit someone I love by heart? With that, I lowered my arms, my shots began to fade, and I took a deep breathe. I fell to the ground weak and slowly passed out.
