this taverned light
in which i have not found
its broken glass upon my frown
so icy that it shatters upon the glistening ground
a poison not yet so consumed
but deadly to the sight
so forth a tree that breaks, upon its icy death
its tethered limbs forshadows its broken bark
in which leaves are brown and gold
and feathered branches cracle in the mist of wind
so comes the marked death of all
that stand hand in hand
holding onto what is forgotted
my poem is based on the
current event of last night
