Linyt woke up. Her eyes looked around, but she could not see. Her mouth drew in air, but she could not breathe. Her body twisted and turned, but she could not move. Her brain recognized where she was, but it could not tell. And her heart was pumping harder and harder with every beat, yet she could not feel it. She was falling, she was flying, she was everywhere, she was nowhere, she was in darkness and in light, yet neither. There was no resistance, and no motion, and no good and no evil. Nothing to say, nothing to hear, nothing to smell, nothing to do… and yet everything as well. There was something else here, something not of her world, or of this world either. Foreign, like her, dangerous and evil. It was nearby, and she was moving towards it, falling, faster and faster. She was hot, she was cold, she was in pain and in comfort. She was almost there and the other opened up to take her in. She could not fight, though she wanted to so badly. She felt herself pass through, and felt again, jagged spikes pressing against her skin, cold air rushing across her body, loud whirring coming in from the window, assaulting her on every side, a bright light hit her, burning her eyes. From nothing back to everything. Linyt woke up.
