Try out different characters.
If the roleplay you are in allows you to have more than one character, do so.
It lets you explore personalities and abilities.
It's fine to have the same character in more than one roleplay, but make sure at least one is different.
I have some examples: my Yamamoto Akuro, Laurel Brooks, and Ichimaru Torasuto for Bleach; and Hiroshi Lana and Yasuo for Naruto.
Try it out sometime, or at least go read some of the roleplays in which I have more than one character.
