We started learning out states and capitals in 3rd grade, and we had the States Fair where we sang the states song. It's long, but it goes like this:
50! Nifty! United States! From the 13 original colonies! 50! Nifty! Stars in the flag that billow so beautifully in the breeze! Each innndividual state contributes a quality THAT IS GREAT! Each innndividual state deserves a bow we salute them now! 50! Nifty! United States! From the 13 original colonies! Shout em! Scout em! Tell all about em! One by one till we've given a day to every state in the USA.

Yes, and the calm and non-objective opinion thing I made up since when people sing, it sounds like accomove jective opinion so lol xD Also, my state was Maryland. We had to like write down three states that we wanted to study. I put down Florida, Maryland, and New York. I got Maryland. So I made this Tri-Board thingie. And at the States Fair, we had to bring a kind of food that represents our state. I brought Crabcakes LOL xD
And my Maryland Tri-Board was voted for the example. I actually think it was my Maryland Darter fish poster lol since everyone was like, "How did you DO that?" and touching my styrofoam Darter Fish. xDDD
