Review: Who could ever have guessed a perverted song and anime could come together and produce this wonderchild? Terry shows a true mastery of composition as he fills three minutes of hard rockin with clips from an anime with only six episodes. The action and scenes fit well with the beat of the music, and the transitioning is smooth. The effects add rather than detract from the experience. The music is a bit...adult? (see lyrics below) but it fits well with the animes pervertedness. I like this in particular because the song just sounds so good. It's one of Tenacious Ds best, and it doesn't have any odd little pops or fizzles that sometimes occur in the act of encoding and whatnot. To add to that, the anime footage is also clear and high quality, though you can't really tell on youtube. I give this five outta five.
Anime: Golden Boy is one of only two animes whose subs I adore. (Guess the other one! =P) It stars Kintaro Oe, a young perman who got his degree in law before setting out to learn all things "educational". It's a short series, only six episodes long, and all you in th closet GB lovers know you want there to be more. Sure it's a little perverted, but you can't resist laughing. The animation and subbing is high quality, and a five stars in my book. Go watch it, you perv.
Artist: Tenacious D is awesome. I don't really like the sondtrack to their movie, but I love everything else they've come out with. Jack Black is a well known and expresssive person, and Kyle Gass is....well, I don't know why he's in the band. Blackmail? Perhaps. If you're looking for some rock with attitude and wit, Tenacious D is your pick.
