... Fuuuuck...
In class today... at some point while taking notes, I just started doodling, like I sometimes do. XD
I wanted to draw a girl with pretty hair, but the way I drew the chin, I realized it would have to be a boy (I didn't want to smudge anything, since everything else looked so pretty as it stood.). I drew the rest of him as he came to be, and he is very, very pretty. XD
But he looks so sad... and these words and thoughts started coming to me concerning the drawing. I drew something around his neck to hide the fact that he was a boy. I'd have ventured to guess that he was only fourteen years old. &.&
He's also a slave, and he's being led away in shackles and chains. His arms ar tied behind him, and there are shackles around his ankles.
He was recently bought by a young girl of about twelve. (The girl wasn't drawn until much, much later on in the class. n_n; But then I started drawing her older and older, so something had to give.)
The name that first came to mind for the boy was "Aries," because he seems so bird like in his delicate condition, but then I thought, "Nooo, I already have a character named Aries! How about Gemini? .... Cancer?"
Granted, I started mentally giggling at first, especially because of the possibilities that could engulf his name. Cancer was great!
And since he was a slave, that would make for an even better story!
... Ah, just as a 'by the way,' the girl who buys him-that twelve year old? HER name is Gemini. XD And she's a Saggitarius, if you're wondering. XD I know, I know... I meant for it to be confusing. It's all kind of funny. X3
But I thought, "Yeah, he could totally be named Cancer because he was born in those months, so his astrological sign is Cancer!"
And of course, later on in years when he and Gemini have a love affair of sorts (fully consenting-this comes into play!!), there's that ongoing joke with his name in particular. "I really love Cancer!" XD
I imagine someone saying that, and I burst into giggles! XD *laughing*
But a lot of things have come to mind! &.&
... Damnit, I would love to make a comic out of this, but I still have the Versailles comic to get through, and that one's very long term. This one is long term-ish.
It's told either first person or through omnicient view. It could switch between them to fit my liking, really. n_n I think it'll be Cancer talking about Gemini and him just being in love with her... and missing her dearly. By that point in his life, she'll be dead. u.u
But it talks about how she happened by him, why she was able to buy him, what their relationship with each other was at that young stage (Purely friendship, sickos! &.& wink , and how things did progress for their time and ages.
I have this idea in mind that the girl was really high class... or rather, she was born into high society... aaaand she really hated it. She appreciated the money she was born into, but only if she could help somebody with it. She was forced to associate with others of her class and general age, but she didn't like their attitudes.
Gemini is a very friendly, out-going, and terribly honest girl who generally knows how to bring across her feelings through words very well. Because of this, she confuses many people, especially those with her social class. XD
All of her 'friends' whom she does not even think of as friends but rather people to hang with to pass the time hate her because she's 'so nice,' and she dislikes them because they'res 'so rude.' XD She was raised to be a polite girl, and was raised with religion.
The problem that arises between herself and her family because of this is... she actually follows her religion. XD Obviously, they just hide behind it, but don't REALLY believe it. e_e;
Also, I'm thinking of setting it in a sort of fantasy world that's pretty much like earth, but with slightly different views and outlooks as far as racial matters are concerned. XD Obviously racism exists: How else would Gemini buy Cancer in a slave auction?
I want to call it Windsor... it's an inspired name. XD I borrowed it from... some place in America. XD
Aye: But for the most part, Gemini is very well adjusted. Not for her social class, but for a person, she's very sweet, honest, intelligent, and generally well adjusted. XD
"But this little girl bought a slave!"
Okay, 1) She only placed a bid on him, and 2) She won. XD
3) She only placed that bid on him in hopes of HELPING him. That and she had her own agenda. *laughs deviously*
... Get your heads out of your pants.
When she bought him, she intended a couple of things: She intended to help him. She wanted to help give him an easier, better life than he would as someone else's slave.
She also wanted a friend... that was another thing she wanted. Granted, as her slave, he's kind of obligated to do her bidding, but asking for a genuine friendship is a bit new to Cancer. o.o (I have this idea in mind where she has Cancer change his name to Aquarius to better suit his looks. XD)
She also bought him specifically because she likes looking at him. XD
She thinks he's very pretty. XD So she enjoys looking at him. She has an appreciation for beautiful things, what can I say? XD It makes her sound shallow, but we all are-just a little bit. I honestly think Aishwarya Rai is one of the most beautiful women on the planet-the most beautiful, arguably- but does that make me shallow? &.&
... Er... right...
She bought him because she liked looking at him, she thought she could give him better opportunities, and because she wanted a real friend. He provided all three just with the first two. XD
Granted, he's, let's see.... two years and six months her senior, I think, but he becomes sort of like her lady-in-waiting... only he's a guy. XD
What he REALLY becomes is her partner in crime! XD That's what it should be. XD But she always took full responsibility, even though her parents hated her choice in a slave. I mean, they did think at first "Wow, our little girl is finally straightening up! Buying her first slave at the age of twelve!? That's incredibly advanced! We're so proud of her!"
And she's like "Yeah, yeah, WHATEVER!" and she rushes off to play some adventure game with her new playmate forced along for the ride. XD
It's sad.
Cancer was taken from his parents when he was about six (I think he was just young in general, but six sounds like a nice age for this) to become a house slave-hence his pale skin. He's been passed along from household to house hold, molested several times, and sexually harrassed even more so by both sides of the gender spectrum, though it was mostly by men who also thought he was very pretty.
As a result, Cancer does not like to be touched, or looked at suggestively, but he knows he has to deal with it, being a slave and all, so he just sort of accepts that it happens, though it makes him sad. Another side effect of his multiple molestations is that, when touched in an intimate manner (Okay seriously, even a hug will set off this reaction!), he automatically thinks the person has 'foul' intentions for him, and since he knows his duties as a servant, he tries to progress the actions until "he's" through so he can get away faster. He's just wired to think that way-that's how he was raised, really: To think only sex would be expected of him.
He has white hair, but it's black closer to the ends, and blue at the tips, and he has pale skin as well. His eyes are a greenish blue-very deep, very clear, very bright, and so very sad, aged beyond his young years. He also has long black eyelashes. X3
He's just a pretty, pretty boy! XD His hair is very long, of course. XD It's about down to his waist, so that's a huge improvement over, say, Attion or Venizin, who have it down to the backs of their knees or just below the bum, respectively.
She assigned him a room that's right down the hall from her own, in case he ever needs help from her and also for her own harrassment pleasures, I.E waking him up so he'll play with her early in the morning. XD I don't know, but Gemini's an outdoorsy girl, so she'll probably want to play "Soldiers in 'Nam!" at six in the morning. XD And this is what I mean by 'Harrassment pleasures": Her annoying the living hell out of Cancer. XD
She's twelve years old and she has very few sexual desires if any at that age. She just wants to have fun and be happy with friends. She knows about sex, but she just doesn't particularly care for it. It scares her and her sensibilities. X3
Cancer's physical reaction to being touched is actually supposed to come into play while he's under Gemini's 'care' if you will. She gives him a hug late one night before going to her room to sleep, and like a machine his reaction comes up. He pulls her close and kisses her-which shocks the ever lovin' ******** out of her as it stands!- and then tries to take her clothes off, which makes her scream and get away from him. This confuses him, which is really bad because she's confused too. "DUDE, WHAT THE ********!!?"
"What..? But I thought you...?"
"What, that I wanted...!? EW! No, GOD, I just wanted to hug you to say good night before I went to sleep! What the hell, Cancer?!"
And she storms off to go to her room, slamming the door behind her. Poor Cancer is all confused and shocked, and he's not sure if he should go back to his room or if he should leave, seeing as his mistress is angry with him. Luckily, before he can decide on anything on his own, Gemini comes back out and explains why she was so angry and that she was confused, and apologizes while asking that he never do that again... at least, not without warning her. >.<Granted, she preferred at the time that he never do something like that again, but she knew better, I would think. They're friends, and she has no sexual interest in him whatsoever. She likes to look at him, yes, and she did tell him that back when she first bought him.
(That conversation was as follows:
Gemini: "I just don't want them to hurt you, that's why I bought you!" gonk u.u
Cancer: "... This seems little different, but I'll believe you for now." -.- u,u
Gemini: "I like looking at you. n_n So... I wouldn't want to hurt you. o.o" )
However, she just wants a friend. She doesn't want a boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever the ******** her other 'playmates' are doing with their lives that they like to tell her over and over again. She just wants a real friend, and that's what she bought Cancer for! n_n;

This confuses the hell out of Cancer, of course, so Gemini invites him back to her room for story time. She wanted Cancer to tell her why this was such a confusing concept.
It was in this way that she learned about how he was molested throughout his slavery, and that as a result of that, he did things merely to survive, so when she hugged him, he thought she wanted something of that nature from him.
She was horrified, this time more for him than for herself, and she couldn't help but give him another hug. Granted, he wrapped his arms around her but remembered what she'd said and so he just sort of sat there, stock still, until he realized she was crying. He asked her why, and she just shook her head and told him that she just felt so bad fo rhim, and that he shouldn't ever expect that kind of crap to come from her, so he was safe with her. It awoke something within him, and he couldn't help but hug her even more tightly, so they just stayed together, hugging each other for a little while longer. Finally, it ended when she yawned, and said they should probably go to sleep. They both fell asleep in their own rooms, with the thoughts floating in their heads that they'd found somebody they could finally trust. n_n
And so, they were truly friends from there on out. n_n
She defended him from her friends, and he did his best to protect her when it came to physical things. She was a girl of the upper class, and because of this, many people wanted to hurt her-even those from her own grain. He got in the way of those who wanted to hurt her, and she verbally hurt those who tried to bad mouth him. It was the only protection she could really give him, though she felt bad, aside from legal protection, but he was grateful as it was more than he'd ever had. Meanwhile, she was happy that she finally had a real friend. Truth be told, Cancer was happy to have a real friend at long last, too, even if his master was his friend. Generally, she treated him like an equal and she considered him her best friend. n_n
Granted, those feelings became love by the time she was fourteen, and she found herself having a sexual attraction to him when she was sixteen, but she didn't want to tell him. what with their friendship and the fact that it might hurt him. Meanwhile, Cancer had always had some sexual attraction for her, but knowing how she felt (Haa haaaa.... >.< wink , he suppressed it.
One evening, she found she didn't have a date for a debutante ball and she didn't want or like any of the guys that offered to be her date... so she tentatively asked Cancer to be her date. He said yes, and since he was eighteen at that time, his hair had only grown longer. (Gemini really liked his hair, and asked him not to cut it. Granted, he was her slave, so if she had demanded it, he wouldn't have cut it, but the fact that she just asked him hardly registered with him. He didn't cut his hair simply because she didn't want him to, so it was something he could do for her.)
However, he pointed out the fact that he LOOKED like a house slave (VERY long white hair, pale skin, and differently colored eyes. They're greenish blue.), while she looked like royalty. (Healthy lightly browned skin, brown eyes, and long, shining black hair. See, this is what I meant when I said that the racism was a bit flipped, as far as general views are concerned. XD)
She made light of it by saying that they could just braid his hair to give it the appeance of not being as long as it actually is, but that they couldn't do much for his skin or eyes and that, truth be told, she didn't want to change him for the world. She got him some clothes in blue, gold, red, and white, and they fit him very well. He looked like a sea captain. n_n; (Whatever that means! XD)
She was not so fortunate to get clothes she liked. She got the corset and the bustierre, as well as the huge hoop skirt. XD Her dress was an off white color, a vague shade of gold, and her earrings were long while her necklace was short like a choker.
She did NOT like looking the way she did, but she was happy that she would at least be there with her best friend so he would have to suffer as well.
Unfortunately, he rather liked his clothes, and truth be told she liked seeing him in those clothes as well. She thought he looked very handsome. n_n
Then again, he also thought she looked incredibly pretty in her own outfit, though she didn't agree at all with his judgement on that particular issue. >.< XD
At some point, they got some time to themselves out on a balcony extending from the main house where that ball was being held, and they just spoke for a while. It was during that conversation that Cancer realized that Gemini just might have feelings for him beyond friendship. This conversation also made Cancer realize that unless he told her how he felt, she would never come clean about her own feelings. >.<
So he told her then and there, and at first it made her angry... then confused... and then sad. They spoke more on the issue of their feelings, with Cancer asking Gemini as to why this made her sad. She responded by saying that, though it over joyed her to hear him say he felt the same way, she wasn't sure he meant it because of what happened to him before he came under her 'possession' and that it made her think that maybe he was only saying it because he thought he had to.
This horrified Cancer to no end and he rushed to assure her that his feelings were true: He really loved her. This only made her cry even more and he couldn't help himself: He gave her a big hug and just held her until she held him back. Once she wrapped her own arms around him so they weren't just hanging there, Cancer tried to kiss her, and Gemini... kissed him back!

This is a story about a friendship that turned into love. n____n;
Granted, through their marriage, Cancer is accepted into high society, however begrudgingly so, and in time, Gemini does become pregnant with Cancer's children. n_n;
I know they have, at the very least, a little girl, because I have this image in my mind that the girl has short, wavy, light brown hair, brown eyes, and pinkish skin, so she's technically a white girl, but she looks a lot like her mother, only with lighter skin. n_n She got the wavy hair, at least....
I could see them as having a little son who has very pale skin like his father, big blue eyes, and short, straight, blondish hair. XD They might also have a daughter with long white hair, pale skin, and blue eyes. She totally looks like her father, only without the black and blue tips. XD
I have this idea in mind that Gemini will die young, though, and so inappropriately.
From an illness, most likely-something that ate away at her health, which had always been so grand where Cancer had always been the delicate one by comparison, and yet Cancer survived the illness while, of course, his wife eventually died from it.
.... *snickers*
... Her parents said that Gemini died because of Cancer...
*giggling*
Okay, that was horrible. XD But I mean it: Her parents tried to blame Cancer for her death *laughs* when really it was a debilitating illness that killed her! *laughing*
... Okay, see? This is what ******** me up: Cancer's name. XD
I know Gemini asks Cancer to take up a name that fits him better, and she says "Well, if you like your name and would like to keep it close it in nature, we totally could. However, it totally has to fit you! Aries? No... Not Gemini, that's my name. Not Saggitarius, either-that's MY sign! >.< What's your sign, by the way?"
"Cancer..."
"Yes, I already know your name, Cancer, but what's your sign?"
"... That IS my sign...!"
"... Wait... noooo... ... noooo... aww, that sucks!"
"My parents weren't that creative, and I was born on one of those two months. Since they wouldn't have been able to remember my birthday, they chose to name me for the months I was born under. And so... I was named Cancer."
"Hmm... this could be a problem... well, how about when we're with other people, we call you by another name, but when it's just us together, I'll call you by your real name, Cancer?"
"Whatever you wish, mistress."
"Just call me Gemini, Cancer."
"Whatever you say, Gemini."
"Cool... aw, geez!! Okay, you know what? Let's just go back to the name! We want something you'd like, but also something that I would like!"
"... I've always been very partial to Taurus..."
"Yeah, but it doesn't really fit you, Cancer!"
"..."
"... I'm sorry."
"It's okay."
"Well, okay, Cancer is a water sign, isn't it? So... something that sounds like water, or feels like it... like your eyes!"
Hearing this, Cancer blushes lightly.
"Okay, um... you know, you could pass for an Aquarius..."
"Aquarius?" Cancer asks curiously.
"Yeah. Water Bearer and all that good junk... actually, that fits you perfectly! How do you like that name, cancer?"
"... Aquarius?"
"Yeah! I really like it, personally speaking, but that's just me, of course!" Gemini grinned.
"... You may call me Aquarius if you like..."
"But I want to know if you like it too, Cancer. I'm not going to call you Aquarius unless the name sits well with you, too!"
"... I... like it..."
"Do you, though?"
"... Yes. I really like it."
"... Well.... if you're sure... then we'll call you Aquarius. That's your alias, Cancer! Aquarius!"
"..." Gemini was beaming so happily that she didn't see the little smile that splayed across Cancer's own face. He had to have been fifteen at the time, but he was secretly really crushing on his thirteen year old going on fourteen year old friend and mistress.
(OKay, seriously. Let's say he was born in June. She's a Saggitarius. Let's say she was born somewhat late into December, or even on the cusp. I think there's a two year and six month difference between their ages.
He's fourteen at the time that she 'buys' him, and she's decidedly twelve. He had only been fourteen for so little time, but that September she was already going on thirteen. She turned thirteen, and then the next year he would turn fifteen. Later on THAT year, she would turn fourteen. He's always a year ahead of her, so it seems more like he's a year and six months older than her-NOT two years and six months.
... Let's switch it to 'A year and six months difference between them." Really, they're probably the absolute worst kind of pair you can bring together, but I'm bringing them together, darnit! XD)
