Not, I'm not gonna post the tabs for "Oh Susana!" I have a new pair of babies to care for: Banjo, and his sister, Bertha, nee "Chubbas," nee "Kazooie."
Almost three months old, these chocolate labradors are shockingly lazy, but I'm very alright with that to an extent. They don't require the most attention, but I'm trying to be better about giving them the attention they need and deserve. I'm pretty affectionate with them, and they seem to like me, but I'm working on not giving them separation anxiety when it comes to me. I don't want them to go "Holy s**t, she's here! LOOOVES! 8D" and have them tackle me 'cause they haven't seen me in days.
Simultaneously, I don't want them to be so attached that they go "Please don't leave me! T___T You are hurtine meee, senora! T___T HUUURTIIING MEEEE! DX"
After all, I need to work and make-a de monies. >_>
I say that, but I've been out of a job since mid August. >_>
Not for lack of job searching, mind. >_> But I also moved to a new town where jobs are shockingly scarce. The popular thing to do around here is 'drugs' and 'drink ALL OF THE ALCOHOL!'
While I don't mind drinking socially, I have never desired to live my life around alcohol or alcoholics, and this town has a ridiculous crime rate-the second highest in the state. My fears are quite valid.
As for the drugs, same issue. The only drug I more or less don't mind (though I do not use, either) is marijuana. I've done some of the research, and made a lot of observations. If you're "doing it right" (getting the kind that works like this for you, etc), the worst that's gonna happen if you toke regularly is you get a shorter attention span, better at using your words/reading, and the right half of your brain is in overdrive. That's basically it... of course, that depends on the type of weed you do (Not that I'm speaking from personal experience, obviously: just s**t I've learned from educational movies, books, and watching friends who DO smoke. >_> wink
It's hard to find like minded people around here, but time marches on, and I keep moving. 83
In the mean time, my job search also continues, and hopefully along the way I meet some lovely people to befriend on top of the two I have in this city (who are wonderful, by the way. <3 )
I should probably get back to supervising that stove. >_> ... e_e
Back to the kitchen, "Where I belong."
(It's so hard for the feminist in me to tolerate those 'make me a sammich!' jokes that have been so popular recently. A part of me finds it hysterical, but some people are actually serious about it. That's when I get pissed off. O_< )
