The teacher put away her roll call board, and walked to the delivery basket in the corner of the room. Just then a large stack of papers fell in and landed in the basket, the teacher catching them as she walked over, picking up the ream of papers, and handing out one of the rigid pieces of paper to the students. She then put the ream of papers back in the basket and let them be sucked out of the class, by an unseen force, moving on to the next room. She walked back to the front of the class, the sound of her heels clicking across the floor like claws.
“The test before you shall judge your prowess in what you’ve learned in the last four years here, as well as your entire life. Each test is different, and you will not be able to cheat off your partners. If at any time you need to be excused… you can forget about it, no breaks until you are finished. Your results from this test will not affect you but will instead be used to compare you to your peers and how your capabilities match up. Your test shall begin now, I wish you all good luck, and any damage done to your minds because of the test is not held accountable by the school or staff.”
At this the students picked up their paper, flipped it over, and started the test by using the indicated spell on the paper. The paper fell apart, piece by piece, expanded, folded, and turned into a small visor, which each student put on. A wave of sleep seemed to take over each student as their consciousnesses were absorbed into the device.
