Captain Lou Albano died on the 14th of this month. For those of you didn't know him, he played the part of Mario in "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show".
I didn't grow up with the show. I'm not that old, people. Kage has the entire ******** boxset of it though, and I've watched a good chunk of episodes with him.
Celebrities have been dropping like flies this year. And you know what? I didn't give a s**t until I found this out from HijiNKS Ensue the other day. As soon as they mentioned "mournfully doing The Mario", my brain kind of froze up and I just went "Oh no."
Like I said, I didn't grow up with the show. Hell, I even say the show was cheesy as all Hell. But for some reason, I'm pretty shaken up about this. Put me on the verge of tears, actually. I don't know why this has shocked me so much, but...Hell, it's just depressing.
May he rest in peace.
And for the record, this is "The Mario".
