I've never done an on-line journal before. I'm not much of a web-design kind of person. What can I say - my mum believed in playing outdoors. But I like learning new things. So bear with me as I learn.

Let's see - I'm a people oriented person. I prefer doing things with physical live people who are sitting in my living room to talking online. It's hard to larp (live-action role-play) online. I'm a SCAdian, which means I'm a medieval re-enactor. SCA stands for Society for Creative Anachronism. Look it up online, if you're interested. I'm also a D&D player. I've been playing since I was pretty young. We're in a new campaign right now in the Iron Kingdoms that should take the better part of the next year, I'm told. Mostly because getting the group together around class schedules and student teaching and work schedules is getting more difficult.

I'm also a writer. I just haven't finished anything. Well, poetry, which sold, but isn't what I want to write. I also work with straw-hat theatre, which means that it's community theatres with small budgets. It's resume-building. <smile> I design costumes and come in at the last minute to fix the wardrobes disasters for local companies. It's fun, but the source of much sleep-deprivation.

Oh, and we do a pirate-themed haunt for the neighbourhood for Halloween. Arrr!

And I have a sweetie, so don't hit on me. He's a gamer as well as a fellow SCAdian. And it's serious. But friends are cool.
