Sora lay there in silence. He couldn't tell how long it'd been. No one had come- or at least, if they had, he'd ignored them. He couldn't tell if he'd been dozing off or had been awake the whole time. It didn't really matter now. He let himself doze off, he knew he had because he couldn't move after that.
The sky was at twilight. He tried to sit up, then realized he was already sitting up. There was a cold sensation on his hand, he looked down and saw a blue popsicle. He licked his hand and was amazed to find the taste to be salty and sweet. He stared at his hand, watching the ice cream melting, running down his hand, and falling into oblivion. He wanted to see where that oblivion was. Leaning forward a bit, Sora saw people below him, walking in and out of the train station. That's right. This is the train station. It was slowly returning to him. He stared at the people just going by, noticing the different colors of the heads. There went a brunette girl, leaving. And there, a blond, spikey haired boy entering. And then, a silver haired man in a black coat. Sora fell back in shock, hitting his head on the clock face. He slid back, pulling his knees to his chest. He was shaking, he knew it, and it wasn't from the height. He hid his face, the shame from before flooded him and like a whirlpool, dragged him down into a cold darkness inside himself.
"Please don't hate me. Please don't hate me forever. I didn't mean for you to be so angry. Riku..." He bit his lip. He could taste the blood. "Riku..." Sora felt tears flowing and mixing with the blood that dripped onto the ledge. There was a moment of silence, a moment frozen in time, like someone had taken a snapshot of this moment. He jumped as time moved on, it was like he'd felt a shock down his spine. "Sora." There was a new voice above him. He couldn't recognize it. "Sora. We need to talk." That person sat down beside him. Sora felt their gloved hand go across his back and grab his other shoulder. That person pulled Sora against them. "It'll be fine Sora. I swear it will. I promise. So stop crying. You know I can't break a promise to a friend, right? So relax. It'll all be fine."
Sora recognized him now. It was his self. His other self.
"Roxas." He looked up and met the eyes of the Nobody. He felt a new wave of tears, Roxas had promised it would be okay but he couldn't help himself. Sora fell into Roxas' arms, crying into his shoulder. "Ssh. I understand. I understand." Roxas petted his head, trying to get him to calm down. "I'll take care of everything. You just need to relax, Sora. Relax and I can make everything okay." Sora's sobs weakened. He pulled back from Roxas. Staring at him for a second, Sora fell back towards Roxas, pushing him back onto the ledge and hugging him in thanks. "I know, I know." Roxas sat up, Sora still hanging on him, he patted his back, laughing to himself. Sora sat up, "So what can we do!" His eyes welled up but he refused to continue crying. "You said we can fix this! How?!" Sora stared at Roxas with a feigning hope. Roxas smiled gently. "I can fix it. I can make it all better." "How?!" Sora was disbelieving, how could anyone understand what had just happened? How could anyone fix it? "Sora. I know how you feel. I'm still You, remember? You just have to do one thing for me." "What?! Anything! Please!" Sora grabbed his shoulders. Roxas reached up and pulled Sora's hands down, holding them. "Just give me your body. Give me a chance and I can fix everything. I'll talk to him and it'll all be better." Sora nodded slowly, obviously thinking so much about what could happen afterward that he didn't realize himself agreeing.
That's when it happened.
That's when he fell.
That's when Roxas pushed him.
That's when Roxas kissed him.
