Okay, so saw Twilight with Lauran and Emily last night. Trying to navigate through a crowded mall with a wheelchair? Not fun. But anyway! We went to Hot Topic, like usual. Laur got a new beenie, Emily got a apir of like those heart shaped sunglass things....and (me being the Twi nerd and Alice fan) bought the recreation of Alice's movie necklace. (Reallly pretty) So, anyways...
So, we go to the theater...only to find we have to stand in a line. Laur and Emily got to go ahead..(Laur was in a wheelchair and Emily was pushing) But it was funny....'Cause we had to show our tickte stubs to prove we didn't buy tickets to some other movie then try to sneak in, right? Well, I had the stubs and I was stuck in line. Ha! So, we got to sit in the handicappable spot. Which is actually the perfect spot (that and the row behind it) Becasue it's in the middle of everything. So anyway...
I give it..... *thinks* Four and a half out of five! As far as sticking to the books went, this was pretty damn close. Everyone was awesome, except Kristen Stewart...she just wasn't cut for stuff like this...(blink athon!) To anyone out there who cares: Robert Pattinson did awesomely with Edward. I revise my opinion on him. THERE! I said it. Now moving on...
The soundtrack was cool...but they only used a handful of the songs on the CD. The graphics with the whole really fast/sparkly vamps was done awesomely. I was worried about some scenes in particular, but they were pulled off nicely as well. My only real question: Billy's paralyzed from the waist down or something like that, right? Well, *spoiler* in the movie..there's a scene where Ed's talking to Bella out side her house, then Billy and Jake drive up. So, Ed leaves...but gets caught in a dramatic stare down with Billy. Here's the problem: How was Billy driving?
Best moment: In the hospital when Carlisle show's up...collective gasp from the crowd. 2) Whenever there was a stupid joke, everyone laughed. 3) When Bella goes to visit the family, they cook for her. Italian. *spoiler* Rosalie: "Is she even Italian?" Emmett: "Her name is Bella." Cue another laugh. Um...first and only real kiss scene took forever. I mean all of us were going..."Okay....and....now....wait.....now?...no...." But it turned out cool.
Pacing was fast, so a two hour movie was like...five minutes. It really was two hours...but, like the book, it flew by. Points. So, that's Izzy's review of the Twilight movie.
Rock on, Izzy aka Noel Cullen
