So, starting at Halloween and going forward. I never reallly got to look at myself before going to school....and that sucked. 'Cause I was afraid of how my costume worked out. And only like...three people got it. Otherwise, cause I did bring Soul to school with me, I was anything from prep school Barbie to killer Scottish girl. *sigh* Laur got it, so did Kyle, and some chick in the hallway. I had Soul over my shoulder, trying not to bump the blade on anything. (I stayed up really late the previous night fretting over the whole thing, having painted the whole thing by hand) So the girl smiles at me and I smile back. We talk for awhile, and she tells me to go find her friend who dressed up as Stein. I have a Maka-sih reaction to this: Crap.
So, during twenty minute break I'm hanging out in the courtyard..first one there..and hear "Maka Albarn!" This is what gets me about the whole thing: I actually answered to it. So, our Stein wound up being some Asian guy who pulled it off quite nicely. He even drew the stiching on his face with something like eyeliner. Points to the Asian guys. Crappy reacting soon followed, then Oceanography. *sigh* At least people thought Soul was cool...and I would be mad if they didn't. Damn scythe took way too long to make. Here's the new question: What to do with him now?
pictures if you care. But anyway..on the topic of the election...
Woohoo Obama!
But from a serious stand point it's like Hillary said. This is finally, truly, an election where you can look a childin the eyes, no matter what race, gender, etc they are, and truly say "Yes, you can be President." And that's what I'm leaving it at. And I was proud to be a part of it.
Rock On, Your Maka, Izzy
