Strange.

Today, we're supposed to go out to Yu Shang, this Sushi Bar/Chinese place near my house. We were supposed to go at around one, but Amanda called and told me that Kai couldn't make it, and we're rescheduling to 6:00 today. Kai's the reason we're doing this anyways.

But, to explain my title, before Amanda told me we had to change the time.

I went about, showered, got ready. Got all mt accessories on, and stepped outside, locking the door behind me. I took in a deep breath of clean, fresh air as I walked down the leaf-strewn path to the driveway, where I could see the silhouette of dad's truck. I guess he got a ride to work with my sister's husband Alan today.

It was about 12:50 or so, give or take a few minutes. As I looked around, things looked like they were dipped in a late noon light. My neighborhood seemed to be in a truly peaceful state. Not a car passed by. No wind stirred the leaves from their resting places on the ground.

I took out my iPod, and climbed up to the back of dad's truck, just barely managing to get a grip. Those boots always make me feel a little clumsy when it comes to climbing up and down [things like stairs]. So, I turned, manging to find a safe sitting position on the narrow back of the truck.

Then, I looked around me one more. As I sat there in the silence of a faux late noon light, with the crisp air and the pretty little leaves dotting the ground, I felt like a girl in a photograph.

For once, Autumn was truly magical.
