~Threw You The Obvious, And You Flew With it On Your Back, A Name In Your Recollection, Down Among A Million Say...~
Kaitlynn rolled over and sighed, staring at her ceiling. She drew little pictures on the ceiling with her eyes as she wondered if she had done the right thing... The pain of wondering was driving her crazy. Throwing off her blankets, she removed herself from bed and walked across the hall, feeling her way through the dark, to the phone. She picked the phone from its holder and unsteadily dialed Michael’s number. Her voice faltered as the sound of the phone ringing drilled itself into her ears. Then a silence occurred on the other end of the line and her breath caught in her throat as a very happy “Hello!” and a womanly giggle was emitted from the other end. Quickly, as fast as she had picked up the phone she slammed it back down onto its holder. Kaitlynn collapsed against the wall, breathing heavy as she closed her eyes and sunk down to the ground... He honestly didn’t care... Nothing she had said had mattered. And to top it off, he was now cheating on her. Hot tears started spilling down her face, collecting in a puddle on the floor.
~Difficult Not To Feel A Little Bit, Disappointed, Passed Over, When I’ve Looked Right Through, To See You Naked, And Oblivious, And You Don’t See Me.~
Looking down at the puddle of tears on the ground, she bit her lip tightly as a single drop of blood fell into the puddle from her lips, tainting it. Thoughts reeled as she stared at the blood, spreading its faint colour throughout the salty puddle of tears. After much time, her weeping settled and she brought herself to her feet and looked at the puddle, which had grown to be at least the size of a half dollar. She walked back over the phone and dialed the number again. The phone went silent after a few moments when the chipper voice answered again, with a woman giggling in the background once again. “I’m in love with you.” She blurted out. The giggling in the background stopped and hush fell over the other side of the telephone.
~So I Threw You The Obvious, To See What Occurred Behind, The Eyes Of A Fallen Angel, Eyes Of A Tragedy. ~
“Well, uh, I love you too Kaitlynn... But this certainly isn’t the right occasion to say so. Especially after what you said to me earlier.” Michael looked at the woman on his lap as he said this... Sure, she was pretty.. She had the qualities Kaitlynn lacked as a woman... and was much more beautiful in most aspects. Tall, skinny, firm breasts but... none of this exactly mattered... But then again, Kaitlynn had hurt him... and he had every right to be doing this... right? “No you don’t! I know you don’t. You have another woman there and that’s cheating! You don’t care at all do you? Oh god, you really don’t!” Kaitlynn started sobbing again as Michael hurriedly shooed the woman off his lap as he stood up to reason with Kaitlynn, but before he could open his mouth to utter a word to her, the phone clicked and she was lost forever.
~Here I Am Expecting Just A Little Bit, Too Much From The Wounded, But I See, See Through It All, See Through, See You. ~
Looking at her hands Kaitlynn skimmed each line with her eyes to her wrists... So white and clean, they gleamed in the moonlight and she smiled to know there was still beauty in the world. And it was appreciated, even if it was only by a single soul. She started walking into her room and stopped halfway through the hallway. She glanced down the hall where the light had been left on in the kitchen. Her foot pivoted and she started walking towards the kitchen, the light blinding her after crying in the dark. After searching the deserted area she walked onto the tiled surface and shivered a bit at the cold running up her body from the floor. The cold feeling wasn’t so much the floor, but her fear of what she was to do. But, no matter how much she tried to think of things to pull her mind from the horrible task at hand, it was futile. Her hand reached for one of the drawers, and she pulled it open to reveal a plethora of gleaming knives. All that shined the same as her wrist had in the moonlight. She smiled a bit even though every ounce of her mind told her to fight the physical movements that would forever end her life. And alas, she ignored it.
~ So I Threw You The Obvious, To See What Occurs Behind, The Eyes Of A Fallen Angel, Eyes Of A Tragedy.
Oh well, Apparently Nothing, Apparently Nothing At All. ~
She picked up the weapon that caught her eye... the brightest one to gleam in the lights of the kitchen. She closed the drawer and went into the bathroom, flicking the light on and looking at herself. She looked as horrible as she felt. Her hair was tousled and her face was streaked with tears. There was a line of blood down her chin originating from her lips. Her green eyes started to water at her appearance as she brought to knife near her snow-white neck and took a bundle of soft brunette hair and cleanly sliced it off. She looked in the mirror, the knife, and then the hair in awe. Kaitlynn moved the knife to the other side of her neck and made an even cut on the other side. She smiled as she put it behind her neck at about the same height and pulled the rest of the long brunette locks off. She dropped the knife and the hair clasped in her cold fingers and leaned forward to look at the mirror.
~You Don’t, You Don’t, You Don’t See Me. You Don’t, You Don’t, You Don’t See Me. ~
Her long hair had been reduced to being up to her ears, whereas it had been down to her lower back before she had attacked herself with the knife. She grinned at herself in a devilish sort of way and spun around. Laughing. Suddenly she stopped spinning, stopped giggling, and stopped all movement as her eyes were drawn towards the gleaming metal weapon on the floor. Kaitlynn bent over to pick it up and arose with it in her hand. She looked at herself in the mirror, the devilish grin spreading across her face, the knife gleaming in the sunlight as she tilted her head up to see herself better... Laughing erupted from the pit of her stomach as she dug the knife into the side of her neck and pulled it across hard.
~You Don’t, You Don’t, You Don’t See Me. You Don’t, You Don’t, You Don’t See Me At All. ~
The blood-flow from her neck caused Kaitlynn to gag and sputter as she stared at herself in the mirror, gripping onto the porcelain of the sink, her eyes wide with horror. As she stared at the blood splattered across the mirror. Her hands lost their grip and she slipped to the floor in an awkward position. Her mind swirled as she lost all sense of being, crying out for help to no avail as her voice would no longer assist her...
