Mangabuff: This story is about a woman. Her name is Syrin. Syrin Motonoshi if you want to be formal. She’s just an ordinary woman, well, an ordinary vampire woman. She has been alive…oh…I guess a couple of centuries…more than that. Well, anyway, she is any normal vampire. Lived long, gonna live longer, loves to drink blood, hates sunlight. But that’s the nutty part ain’t it? She loves everything that has to do with the human race. I mean, when you think about it, vampires hate us. Right, DevilChicken?
DevilChicken: Right. We’re just food to them. But her, she loves us or loves to eat us. We really don’t know which. And in this day-n’-age, that is really rare. And you think that’s weird, get this, all the vampire stories you once knew are not true, they are just made up for some weird guy in the 13 century who drank the blood of his victims…well not actually drank but ate it with bread, and for all of you that aren’t historybuffs, that is were the story of vampire began! I mean, it’s so ironic the guys’ last name was Dracula too. They used that name for all the movies you see today.
Mangabuff: Okay that was way off topic but I guess she just wanted you guys to know that. Oh! And plus she lost all her vampiric power when the sun is up.
*DevilChicken nods her head.*
Mangabuff: It’s her curse. She doesn’t even remember how she even got it. But anyway, this is her story. Her curse.
DevilChicken: Now everyone shut the hell up and listen up! Its about to get good. Really, really, good!
Mangabuff and DevilChicken: We hope that All of you will love this novel! So please enjoy!
CHAPTER 1
It was a warm, moonlit night in Tokyo and Syrin just got out of her coffin and was starving for blood. Not just any blood. Some vampires have preferences and she is one of them. She wanted the blood of a young man. Man, no women, since she is a woman.
Syrin was jumping from rooftop to rooftop of the tall buildings in Tokyo trying to find a man that fitted her hungry needs, when she found him. In the most unexpected way too. She dropped down in an ally-way so no one could see her, and then walked out into the street. And of course, she got the same reaction she would get every time she was in Tokyo. Every man that saw her gave her a look that said, “Hey girl. Wanna try me?” and then she would just brush them off and just kept on walking. Well at least that was what she thought when she walked out of the ally. Instead she walked right into a man going the opposite direction. Syrin cried out in surprise and caught herself while the man was about to catch himself until she heard her cry then just went right back down.
“Oomph!” said the man.
Syrin looked at him and instantly kicked into predator mode.
In her most innocent voice she said “Oh my god!!! Are you okay, sir??”
The man looked up at her, “Yea I’m fine. Sorry I bumped into you. My mind was on other things. I should have been paying closer attention.”
Syrin looked at the guy. Is this guy for real? She thought as she helped him up. “No. It was my fault. I was looking for some things and instead I found you. Who is not part of the list.” Syrin giggled.
“Hehehe, I am so good it is not even funny. Soon his blood shall be mine.” Syrin was tingling with anticipation.
“Um…if you don’t mind I was wondering if you could help me with something…”
The man looked at her then looked at his watch.
“Sure I got time.” Syrin smiled. He thought it was appreciation so he smiled back and said “Hey, so, what do you need help with?”
“Um, I think I lost my cell phone in there could you help. It must of slipped out of my pocket when we collided.”
The man looked down the ally way, took enough steps so that he and her were completely inside. “NOW!” Syrin thought and threw the man against the wall of the building.
“Wha…?” The man looked more surprised than scared. She opened up his coat, then unbuttoned his shirt and pulled him close. She then bit down hard onto his neck. He gasped out but did nothing against the assault. She greedily starts to suck his blood. The blood goes into her fangs and fills her hunger with every sip she takes. After she was done she let him fall. She took her right hand, took off the glove. She put her hand on his face and started to erase his memory. Half way through the process he went up and grabs her hand. She was so surprised. A human wasn’t supposed to move when she was erasing the memory, hell, they weren’t even supposed to be conscious. But there he was looking at her, with eyes that told her he was pissed. But it didn’t last very long. Once the connection broke they traded memories. He saw hers, she saw his.
He saw that Syrin lost her parents in a raid 2 centuries ago they were both burned to the stake but she didn’t. She hid in the basement where no one would look, where no one would dare look for they were afraid that they would be cursed. Then when the moon came through a crack in the window, she left the basement, she left the city, and she left England. Never to come back. Never, ever again. Syrin came to America where are story will begin. Now in America she had her share of fun she was a leader of a bicker gang an assassin for hire and a thief. She stole 7.5 million dollars from 10 major bank sand 2 major casinos she really lost interest of this and returned the money. But keeping at least 200,000,000 for herself, of course she needed money and she decided on that amount alright?? Jeez…, .Well anyway, with that kind of money she wanted a change of scenery. She wanted a change of scenery. Something new, something that could change her immortal life. And she found it. In this big world she found it. She found Tokyo. The city that never sleeps. The man was so amazed he was knocked unconscious to the ground from all those memories entering him. Syrin on the other hand saw that he too, lost his parents when he was young. They were killed by a mugger, who just wanted their money. He was left to the care of his aunt and uncle who took very good care of him. He was a graduate of med school, top of his class and was working at the best hospital around. She concentrated at one piece of memory. There she saw his name.
“Kakashi Mizuka?” That wasn’t a very common name. She got out of her trance and looked down at him. She couldn’t erase his memory now that was for sure. If she did, he would probably end up in some day care for mental patience because all the memories would be erased. Everything. So she decided just to make him wake up and leave. But not before looking through his suitcase and find a card that had the name of the hospital he worked for. She just wanted to make sure that he wouldn’t blab anything out to his fellow workers tomorrow if he went to work. Well, just the biting and her. Then she shook him really hard and jumped back onto the rooftop. He moaned and got up. He didn’t even notice that his coat and shirt were unbuttoned and his neck bare to the cold night air. He stood up looked down, zipped his coat and buttoned his shirt, and picked up his suit case and said out loud, “I could have sworn there was a woman here…man must have hit my head on something.” She was amazed. He didn’t even remember. She grinned. Now all I have to do is make sure he won’t do anything stupid tomorrow. She was about to turn away when she heard him grunt in pain. She turned around was amazed of what she saw
She looked down astounded. And saw him pinned against the wall with a 9 mil behind his head. She looked at the person holding the gun.
It was a mugger.
She was getting so pissed off. “Great….everything was sailing so smoothly and I thought it was going to be easy and now he’s getting attacked at. I’m not going to watch this.” She thought. Then she thought of something. If he was dead then she wouldn’t really have a problem anymore. She sneered at that thought. She was about to turn when all of a sudden her necklace started to glow. She hated it when that happens. Syrin sighed with impatience. She couldn’t believe it was happening again. Too him anyway. How ironic. She thought. She turned around and jumped and landing softly behind the mugger who was screaming orders. “Give me all of your cash b***h!” Syrin laughed out loud. b***h? She thought, wow he really needs to get out more often.
The mugger turned around, hearing her, and then she striked. Her hand went up fast and hard under his chin and he went flying. The doctor fell to the ground with a thump.
Syrin turned around. Looked at the doctor then looked at the mugger.
Syrin went over to the mugger and put her hand on his head.
"When u wake up u won’t remember what ever happened here tonight."
Her hand started to glow a bright red then dimed to a pale blue.
"Yea and plus u wont have to remember that I beat your a** to a pulp."
She looked down at her necklace and it wasn’t glowing anymore.
"Hmm, that doctor is out like a light...maybe I should help him out..."
She looked down again.
It glowed.
"I really hate it when you agree with mi!"
It glowed really brightly and vibrated like it was laughing.
"Ah shut up."
With a sigh, Syrin turned and went back to the doctor, kneeling beside him as she shook his shoulders
“Hey! Don’t die on me. "
The young doctor stirred slightly, a groan leaving his lips as his eyes flutted open “Ugh...wha-?"
"Are you ok" Syrin asked, releasing her grip as she stood.
The doctor blinked his vision clearing fully as he looked up at the young woman before him
“I...er, guess so…" With both hands, he pushed himself up so he was sitting on the cold ground instead of lying down.
He blinked at her. “Um…didn’t I meet u before?” Yea she thought. Like a couple of minutes ago. “Um I don’t think so…”
“Oh! Sorry. Well then. Who are you then?”
Syrin smirked, resting her hands on her hips
“Why, I'm the person who just saved your a**."
The doctor looked at her.
“You saved my a**?? From what?”
Syrin points at a moaning, black mass near a trash dumpster.
“That my friend. A mugger.”
He looks at her, then at the mugger.
“Thank you very much.”
Syrin looked up and saw the moon was at its top most point. The sun would be up soon and her vampiric powers would be gone and she would be a normal human. She had to help him now or both of them would be helpless.
“Can you stand up?”
The doctor tried to get up, but have way there he started getting dizzy and fell hard back down. Syrin looked at him with impatience.
“I’ll take that as a no.”
The doctor looked up.
“I’m really sorry. I think I hit my head on the wall harder than I thought.”
“Hold still for a moment. Let me see”
Syrin examined his head closely and saw a little blood spot in the back of his head. It took all her will power not to just like the blood then and there.
“You’re a little bit bloodied up. I don’t think it’s safe for you to do anything.”
She paused for a little bit, thinking. Her car was close and had a first-aid in there, just incase she got any really bad injuries that couldn’t heal themselves up right away. You know safety first, right?
“I have a first-aid kit in my car. It’s not far from here, just in front of the coffee shop. I’ll get it if you want or I could help you there.”
The doctor looked up at the woman who was going to take care of him but didn’t even look that worried about him.
‘”I’m either imagining it or she really is just doing this because of boredom and saved me because I was just there and she wanted something to do. Nah, that was impossible. She doesn’t even look the type.”’ He thought.
