Finally! I'm finishing the first chapter of this story! blaugh

After having gone home, taken a shower, and put on some clean clothes, Sakura headed off. When she arrived at the Uhciha residence, Sakura decided to see if Sasuke's home really was as large as it looked. After wandering around for the most of ten minutes and finding the kitchen, two privies (bathrooms), and a multitude of bedrooms, as well as three small courtyards, Sakura came upon a romm with the door only slightly open. From within, she could hear the murmur of someone breathing. Opening the door a little farther, she looked in and saw a bed; and upon it was the sleeping form of Sasuke Uchiha. Sakura walked softly into his room; careful not to wake him, she kneeled down next to the bed. Sasuke's breathing was soft and even. The blankets around him had bunched up aroundhis waist, and Sakura could see that he didn't have a shirt on; it seemed to have been flung to the other side of the bed. His hair was tousled and in his eyes. As Sakura reached down to push Sasuke's hair back, she caught a glimpse of what was under the sheet. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm no perv; his pants were still on. What caught Sakura's eye had been his abdomen. Damn, she thought, his abs ate so sculpted they look like a carving in stone. Whoops, she caught herself; the beginnings of a blush rising to her cheeks, if Sasuke wakes up now, he'll think I'm a perv. With that thought scuttling around in her head, Sakura tiptoed to the door.
*Creak*
The door let out a small noise as Sakura opened it.
"Sakura?" She stiffened, not wanting Sasuke to see her.
"Sakura?" He said again, his voice muzzy with sleep, "Izzat you?"
Slowly, Sakura turned on her heel to face him.
"Yes, Sasuke-kun, it's me."
"What'chu doin' in my room?"
"I, uh, well, I...kinda got a bit lost. I thought I would take a look around; see what your house is like, and I ended up in here. I was just going to wait for you in another room. I'm sorry I woke you up."
"No, no, 'sokay. Jus' open the door so I can see. I'll jus'...uh," he looked down and blushed, "Maybe I should put on a shirt," he said apologetically, seeming a little more alert now.
"Okay." Sakura turned to open the door, and when she turned to face Sasuke again, he was sitting on the edge of his bed fully dressed.
"So?"
"Huh?"
"Didn't you have a question for me earlier?"
"Um, I--uh, sorta--well, yeah."
"Well, aren't you going to ask it?"
"Um, well, I...guess. Sasuke-kun, why did--why were you attacked?"
"Who attacked me?"
"You haven't answered my question, Sasuke-kun."
"I can't answer it if I don't know who attacked me."
"I think it was one of those four ninjas that are always around Orochimaru; Tayuya."
"That explains it. I should probably tell you what happened. Do you want the long story, or the short?"
"Doesn't matter which, as long as I know why."
"'Kay. As you know, I was training with Orochimaru for three years. Most of that time, the only human life I came into contact with was Orochimaru and the four: Kidomaru, Tayuya, Sakon, and Jirobu. Sometimes other rogue ninja would be around: Kimimaru and Deidara. I swear, Deidara looks almost exactly like Ino! He could be her long lost brother; separated at birth or something. It's freaky! So, long story short--I was training, Itachi showed up at Orochimaru's lair, They talked, Orochimaru had Jirobu kill Itachi, I killed Orochimaru, then I fled for my life."
Sakura was so shocked at this tale that she almost didn't notice the expression on Sasuke's face. The haunted look was back, accompanied by a faraway look. What Sakura didn't realize though was that Sasuke hadn't told her the whole story. They sat there for a while, silent.
