Fortune..Karma..Luck..Destiny..Chance..Fate.....powerful words thought of as blessings upon those people touched in relation to them; unless you happen to be one of the ill fated to be cursed. Then of course, Misfortune..Karma..Bad-luck..Destiny and Fate are all reminders of the inevitable and usually tragic end you yet to face.
When your fate is foreordained, it tends to hang over you like a dagger, and instead of waiting through years of bad luck, these ill fated have decided that if it all came to be by Divine decree then perhaps to seek out Divine intervention is what it takes to break their curse.

Name: Jerrod Rutilie AKA* Jerry Rat tail
Age: 24
Bio (how they came to be cursed): He's a thief known as "The Rat" and though he is very good at his job, he wasn't named Rat for his ability to get in and out of any where imaginable. Rat learned at a young age to get close to no one and that every one is exspendable, look out for number one and if that means a few "friends" meet the gallows, so be it; better them then him.
At 19 he took an unusual job but he took it nonetheless because the patron had asked for him, claimimg to have heard of his skill and would take none other then The Rat. He finished the job without a hich but it turned out that his partner in crime was being watched and the authorities rushed them and Rat gave up his partner of 3 years for his own neck; the patron seeing this was disgusted and cursed The Rat for his utter disloyalty and shallow self preservation.
Curse:
"Like the rat you are, you desert and abandon friendships
for the gain of your own self peservation, severing all ties
and SO BE IT!
Every ship you embark upon shall find it's self fated to the
ocean floor, along with the lives of every man, woman and
child with you the soul surviver.
With the weight of each and every one of those souls crashing
down upon you in waves until the day you find a tie you can
not sever and are dragged to the ocean floor.
Until then you will be cursed, and a curse on the world,
a plague, Like the rat you are."
