Lived & Died Where Worlds Collide

Worth it? Doubt is a shivering girl sitting at the end of her driveway in the pouring rain. It soaks her clothes and pounds against her skin until she is almost entirely numb to anything but the cold. A wind drives the sheets of water across the darkened suburban roads and stirs the dripping strands of hair hanging around her face. She closes her eyes and wishes the wind were sharper, driving blades instead of water, slicing at her skin until the warmth of her blood was a shelter from the cold waters. She wonders if Love would be worth that pain.
