Get out of my nightmares, and into my elder god. |

Singing along with the tune of "get out of my dreams, into my car", I'm just singing this lovely jorunal title. So, the hunt is beginning. I'm looking for a new car. Haven't gotten word back on the old twistmobile, but.. I doubt it will be wonderous. Things very rarely are. I've even got a few possibilities lined up already.. Now, if only my money would line up, too. Went on a Cthulhu kick yesterday, and I don't know why. Many tentecles were waved, elder gods summoned, and general mortal hating and timeless evil powers used. Don't ask me why my brain works the way it does, it just functions on it's own primordial level, occasionally grunting and whacking me over the head with primitive urges I'm too uneveolved to contend with or resist. My body just follows. So, valentines day is coming up. Whoo. Excuse me while I break out in sudden joy and warmth of the season. *lights cigarette* woo. Yeah, that's how excited I am for the crappiest holiday ever. Not because I ahve no one to love, or any of that sentimental crap. It's just due to the fact that I completely fail to care. Missed that saving throw of care +1. Roll another d6 to see if I give a ********. Roll a 7, and you'll make it. Otherwise, don't even try to pawn off your damn heart-shaped ******** everything. Keep your sweetened holiday treats as far away from me as possible. I don't need cards. I don't need valentines of any sort. I don't need hugs. My idea of a romantic evening involves a cigarette or two, some good telly, maybe some food (pizza or thereabouts) and maybe some lovin'. That's it. Sure, people can be sweet and caring, but personally, I don't think one day a year is enough to make up for all the crap we dish each other on a regular basis in our relationships. We just hand people plates of issues, serving trays of problems, warming pans of troubles which we shouldn't be serving. In a loving, healthy relationship, (Which I am neither. Loving or healthy, and I suppose being one person, I am not a relationship either.) There is a certain measure of give and take, trading, in effect to maintain the relationship. If all this valentines day is, is a renewal of love and trust and commitment, cool. More power to it, and all the best wishes. Most years, it seems like a day when girls get a ******** of gifts, guys spend an exponentially larger ******** of money, and everyone hopes to get some nookie. Purely shallow pursuits, but when are we much deeper? Not often, It seems to me. Guess some people don't see the point in telling somone you love them every day, and keeping up the relationship to the best of your abilites all year, as opposed to just trying to make up for all the s**t you throw at each other in one grand, massive display of consumerism. This applies equally to both sexes, no matter what people would like to believe. Women ******** up relationships just as much as men do. Good thing sex is a instinctual act for most humans.. We never would have bred otherwise.
