	A Poem with no Name


Every night I want to die I lie in bed and start to cry Please give me wings and let me fly I live a life of pain and sadness I fight just to get by But in the end it doesnt matter All I have is lost forever I light a match and set my house I sit in a wooden chair waiting to be caught I hear the sound of rushing trucks I hold to the arms The chair leg catches and my pants begin to burn They grab me firmly trying to pull me off I hold on tighter but to no avail Im rushed out only to be met by my friends Im taken to the station and asked what happened but I wont speak They give me paper to write what I want to say They think Im mute All I write is "give me wings and let me fly" They think it means someone tried to lock me in the room and burn the house They think I was scared so I wouldn't let go But I just shake my head "no" Why wont they just let me go? My blonde hair is burnt black My clothes tattered My heart remains broken But nobody cares Days go by but I remain here When I dont speak they start to yell They take me to school every day But I always just run away I'll go see my friends at their houses Try and spend the night but they find me They pull me out My attempts are useless I run home where they wont find me I stand in front of the burnt mess I get on my knees and cry bloody tears Another attempt denied God doesnt love me If he did then Id be gone by now He keeps me away from death itself Ive cut myself too many times to count A rain comes down upon this place My tears blend as a car pulls up They come out and grab my arms I fight and scream Thunder roars above Lightning strikes People gather and scream and shout Some guys come over and pull the men off me My friends help me up and away I look back once and see them drive away The next day I return with my friends The storm is still strong Lightning strikes a nearby tree It crushes the remains of the house Every night I want to die I lie in bed and start to cry Please give me wings and let me fly Your-Angel-Eien · Sun Oct 29, 2006 @ 04:07pm · 1 Comments
