I've recently discovered Gaia's little hodgepodge of games. Well, that's not to say I discovered them so much as finally decided to try them out. After one 2 hour long game of Word Bump I think it's safe to say I'm not sure if I ever want to play it again. I am really a big fan of word games but something about this game screams "your browser will probably crash before you ever get to finish a game". Especially if you're using an unreliable browser to play at the time. (I'm using the Firefox 2 beta, and it has all kinds of wonky things wrong with it..)
Gaia Fishing has been around a long time and I finally decided to play using all the free Grade F Fishing Bait I've gotten from the Daily Chance. It was really hard to catch onto, and I suspect I have a lot of learning to do still, but it's pretty fun. 3nodding I don't like bait decay though; the last game I played yielded an entire bucket full of garbage. Not cool. neutral I think I might buy myself a performance rod and just MAYBE I will buy a slew of Grade D Fish Bait sometime. But for now, 25g for a Grade F is where it's at until I learn how to fish better. Checking out the Gaia Fishing forums, it's crazy how much strategy can go into such a seemingly simple game.
As for the slots, I only played them a little bit but they are as addictive as real slots. I also used tokens that I got for free from Daily Chance. I have to say it's pretty funny that I waited until I got a bunch of free game items before I actually decided to play any of these games. sweatdrop
All that set aside, my favorite thing to do still is walk around towns picking up trash, bugs and flowers. Even though they aren't worth much, there's something both fun and addictive about it. It's like I'm feeding my packrat habits or something.
After seeing some screenshots of VERY cool Gaian Homes, I've decided to save up my gold to upgrade my home and try to make it look as awesome as possible. Easier said than done, I'm sure, as there really are not a heck of a lot of housing items to choose from still.
