Okay, after reading nick's journal...I've been thinking about stuff and the way reality is going nowadays. I can see where he is going..and I totally agree! Technology is great...but look where it has put us... I mean..our lives are better.. but it also gets worse. It's like what we were studying in health. I mean not the weight issues, but the fact that we're becoming to lazy...that we're so used to the way we live that we're almost to comfortable with it. Not saying this is bad...but video games and stuff make it seem boring. I mean..it gives us a glimpse into another world. Anywhere from futuristic worlds...like FFVII to the country like Harvest Moon. It's all different. It makes our world seem really boring. And the government is not really helping. I mean it's making us depend on it more...we're a great country and stuff...but it seems like the gov is becoming more powerful and that'll be our ruin. We have to make the difference...no matter what it takes. It's our future... and we are the one's to decide what happens to this world. It's like a Calvin and Hobbes comic I was reading where the two are walking through the forest and calvin sees some trash..after a chain of events..the last panel is the two of them walking away over a hill. Calvin turns to hobbes and says, "can I refuse to enherit the world?" and hobbes returns with a "i think once your born its too late."
so, that's kinda like the point I'm trying to make. We've made ourselves so comfortable..that we are kinda ignorant to what we are doing to the world. We have great lives, but we're chaning the world around us..for better or for worse. Not to sound like an enviormentalist....but we are changing the world..and not just the enviornment. The future too. It's up to us...all the future. Anywhere from the president to is there is even a planet earth...so..yeah.
about the whole adventure thing...I'm on the same track. i've been thinking...((shut me up if I sound like Riku...please...)) but our lives are all the same stuf..over and over... The stuff we see on TV and the movies...it makes our lives seem boring.... day in and ady out..we go to work, earn money, come home exhausted, then do it again. It's almost like you want something to so happen to change it...like you want your life to become one of them. I mean...gawd something has to be out there....something different. You know what I mean? Like..you need an adventure to losen up what's happening..catch you off gaurd. Don't give me a.."life IS an adventure." I mean...it's true...but waht the point if life just repeats it's self?????? I think that's why I want to see the world..why I like Japan and all my anime...FF..and KH..it's different. It's out of the ordinary....just...gawd.
