a wall of memories clouding reality
gargoyles of thought sit at the entrance to my mind
demure moonlight pours from their jaws
filling the cracks in the sliver lined stone
moths of crude fantasy float above
the ruins of the sanguine sun
extinguished by the acid rain
that falls in the iridescent winter
the sallow moon lives on
painting the city in which my soul resides
to the fated end.
