Oh my god, people. I'm pretty sure I said this when the last profile changed too. Just get used to it. It's only confusing because it is different. The last time the layout changed, everyone complained it was "confusing" too and that it was bad because they couldn't find anything. Wow, now they find everything just fine. Imagine that.
Sure, this layout might not be the best, but it certainly isn't unacceptable. New =/= bad. Change =/= bad.
Seriously, are you on Gaia so you can look at the pretty website layout all day or so you can take part in the community somehow? If you are here for the layout, then there are many many sites on the internet that have a prettier layout than Gaia...go stare at those all day.
Having an option to choose what layout is just so not realistic. Seriously, new features are released...and integrated badly into the layout. New layouts take into account existing things and incorperate them. Having the ability to switch back would lose functionality or would require lots of work to make the old layouts look the same yet have all the same things. Some of you might be all like "I'll be okay with only the features available on the old Go-Gaia layout." A small fraction of you will, the most of you will not.

They do this every layout change. The admins warned us it would change and most gaians were fine with it....until it happened. *shrugs*
