: My Stories:
I have an imagination the size of the universe. If ever I do become a famous writer like Christopher Paolini. Though I will never be as good as him.
“I’m not going to let those creatures just come and take what they want We barely have enough untainted food as it is to feed the village, let alone the children who are infected, and when the village people become infected they become dangerous I will not idly stand for this. I leave dawn tomorrow, my mind is made up,” with a flick of Denzin’s red-ish hair she left the room of the stunned village council and out into the mid-day sun who’s gentle touch calmed her nerves; just a bit. She walked down the main road of the village she had lived in all her life. Reaching the age of twenty-two she had dealt with it long enough. Her parents were taken by the same creatures that seemed to ravage the land. Now they came and took as they pleased, killing and bringing their infection with them.
First it only infected birds, then small animals, to larger animals as the creatures became many. It has gotten so bad that now it takes the village people. Burning their souls in a fever and leaving them as a puppet for the infection after they die. It affects the children in other ways, giving them a painful rash of black and grey, it rots their skin. They usually grow distant or die from the pain. It leaves them without rest and brings nightmares. Denzin was determined to at least scare them off for a while. She was the most able fighter through-out the village, she even out-matched all of the men, only one was a good match but still could not beat her, Garn, a black smith and a good friend to her. Denzin’s skills credited to her inhuman movements and speed. Her beauty was also that of match, tall, slim, not a scratch on her. Her green eyes as piercing as the forest, but there was something unusual about them, her pupil’s were only slits, like a cats. Her long auburn hair lay smoothly and limply until the wind took it, running it’s slender fingers through it. Her smile was to compare to the vapid desperation of the children, for it could brighten their spirits. She healed very fast as well. She once fell out of a tree and broke her left arm, it healed in two weeks Two weeks
She was determined to save her village, maybe find a cure. (In her wildest dreams) For in her own secrets lay one dark and hidden, she was infected but not in the typical way, though it pained her it also gave her power and visions.
She walked slowly as she passed a group of playing children who ran around her singing:
Catch me Catch me
We will run as fast as you
We will jump and sing:
fa la la la lo li la lu
Run as fast as we can, we will sometimes catch up to you
Oh pretty lady dance and sing with us:
fa la la la lo li la lu
Catch me Catch me, oh pretty lady
Catch me Catch me, and we will run too
Denzin, Denzin We will catch you...
She laughed and skipped with them until she got to her house at the edge of the village. The children circled around her once more and went back to their calling mothers except for one little boy, he stood there as the children left. She bent down and swept a hand over his forehead to expose what his bangs hid. “Does it hurt today?”she asked, he didn’t answer. His eyes seemed far off today as they sometimes did. “Josten ” she shook him lightly.

(PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK SO FAR.)
Terrance: It sucks. No one will like it.

Pretty good beginning. I like the adjectives and the way that you gave the appearance of the characters. Denzin is an awesome name.
