So...recently, I've been into a certain BL game called DRAMAtical Murder, the latest BL game created by Nitro+Chiral.
Now, I've seen Togainu no Chi before, rather, I pretty much get the gist of it even though I've never actually watched or even let alone play it.
DMMd is the only BL game I've ever watched playthroughs of. I've never seen any others. So I dunno if 'ordinary' BL games that are basically slice of life that don't contain any 'supernatural' or 'dark' element to it such as DMMd or TnC have 'bad endings', but if they do, I wonder what kind of 'bad endings' there are.
Because in these games that Nitro+Chiral makes, in my own personal bias opinion, I think the bad endings they make are their best selling point.
I had an idea that bad endings are...bad. Like...messed up in some way...but watching DMMd through and through...I never realized how ******** up they actually are.
In the first original game of DMMd, in the bad endings, the protagonist narrates what happens and then it shows a certain cg of what happens.
But, in it's sequel, re:connect, the bad endings that are shown in the game details on what happens in the originals.
*SPOILERS*
Such as in Clear's bad ending. In the first original game, we get shown of what happens to our protagonist, Aoba, who is laying on a table within Oval Tower and is retrieved by Clear, who says that he will be taking care of Aoba from now on. We then get brought over to a cg where it shows small flashes of a picture and then at the end, we are shown the entire cg, and see that Aoba's put in a cell, blind folded...with missing legs...with Clear hugging him from behind...and then Clear's bad ending song comes along with the ending credits.
In re:connect, Clear's bad ending details on what happened. We get told from Clear's point of view that Toue's 'fixed' him and ends up losing his past memories, except he ends up remembering Aoba...most likely because of the strong bond the two share.
The reason why Aoba's missing his legs is revealed, as Clear, who wants him and Aoba to be the same entity, comes to the conclusion that since he can't become human, he'll make Aoba into something close to what Clear is, which, Clear is a robot manufactured by Toue for his evil diabolical plan of brainwashing the entire island. So he cuts out Aoba's eyeballs, which is why he's wearing a blind fold, and then after having sex, takes his legs and soon after, his arms.
...But yeahhh...
And...you know how fangirls within fandoms call their favorite characters/otps/whatevers their 'babies'?
...I didn't understand how they could do that at first but...apparently the guys of DRAMAtical Murder are 'mah babies'.
Clear's route was the first route I watched, which was probably a stupid idea considering how attached I got and how it ended up being my favorite route because of its emotional impact on me that made me start to cry and then made me start calling him and them 'mah babies'.
Seriously! The reason why I started off with Clear's route first is because I couldn't see him as a potential love interest for Aoba at first so I wanted to get it over with but...but....AHHHH MOUUUUU!
Clear...that adorable baby...ended up stealing my heart in one go. His...his good ending made me cry...just...just....ugh....and...is bad ending in re:connect...the last thing that happened in his bad ending in the sequel...completely broke my heart. So bad. Buuuuut then I watched his good ending in re:connect, which is the sequel to his good ending in the original game and I was all happy and I wanted to hug Clear so bad and never let him go! Even so, his good ending was entirely beautiful, sad, and bitter sweet.
But yeah!
So, I came across this DMMd Ask Thingy on tumblr. I wanted to wait until I finished with re:connect but I'm too excited.
So, I'll just do it now, and then when I'm done with re:connect, I'll do it again, just to see the difference between my answers with now and then.

1. How did you get into/find DMMd?
Well, I found it on tumblr. People I'm following were posting pictures of these really hot guys and when I looked at the tags, it was 'DMMd', 'DRAMAtical Murder' and all that shiz. I didn't pay much attention to it but I just kept seeing these hot pictures of these sexy guys! My curiosity grew so I decided to research it. It was then I found out it was Nitro+Chiral's latest work that came out during the Spring of 2013. And as someone who is quite fond of their first BL work, Togainu no Chi, I decided to do more research on it. Aaaand that was when I found a goddess on youtube who uploaded playthroughs of all the routes. She is now currently uploading the routes in re:connect.
2. Favorite good end?
Hmm...Oh god umm...with just the original without seeing re:connect, I'd say...Noiz. As much as I love Clear, Noiz just...hhnnnnnnng~!!
With seeing re:connect, which I should clarify, I've only seen Clear's, Noiz, and currently watching Koujaku's...it's probably going to be Koujaku's.

Oh god least favorite? Damn. Uuuum...Without seeing re:connect, Mink's. Because it's incomplete and I want moar damn it.
With what I've seen of re:connect so far...Noiz's? I mean, don't get me wrong, the sex was really hot and I can't get enough of their adorableness but I was hoping for a bit more...like a sequel to that sequel.

Oh god. Considering how ******** up the bad endings are...just damn...Without seeing re:connect, -is currently remembering the bad endings one by one and agonizing- I'm just...gonna say Virus and Trip. Because their bad end is threesome hot sex.

Without re:connect, Noiz's second bad ending. I was wtfing the entire time.
With what I've seen so far with re:connect, IIIII'm gonna say Noiz...again. His bad ending in re:connect is just detailing on what happened in his first bad ending, because he has two. Yup. Whew. That one is the most disturbing for me right now. I mean, my reaction to Koujaku's was 'What the flying ******** is going on?!' but with Noiz...I had to skip around the video a bit. Because it was too much for me. ; -;

Hmm...Aqua Forest, the place they go to in Clear's route. I really liked the water fountain that they showed. But also because of the scene that played with the water fountain. It was that particular scene that made me fall in love with Clear.

Gonna have to say Scratch. Even though they're just a bunch of former inmates brought together by Mink, they're still considered a Rib team. And I like em.

Noiz. His voice is just...it just sounds so smooth.

Hmm...I wanna say Koujaku. Probably because he gives off the traditional Japanese look? But also because of his tattoos. While they have a deep and horrible symbolic meaning, I love his tattoos. They're beautiful.
16. Least favorite character design?
I'm gonna have to say Ren, before re:connect, and after Aoba saves him...ya know...without his cape, Rhyme look. He's hot and all, but I just don't like his...stance. The way his arms are positioned are weird :/
17. Saddest backstory?
Noiz. Hands down. Come on. A small boy who doesn't know what pain is because he can't feel. And because of that, he was locked up in a room, grew up alone, believing that he could continue to live alone. It's just sad how disconnected he is with the world and everyone around him because of his inability to physically feel.
18. If you could get an allmate, what would it look and act like?
Similar to Ren. A white puppy husky with purple eyes. Respectful and attached. Doesn't speak unless he wants to and is loyal. Serving a wonderful silent companion.
19. Something you wish happened in the game but didn't.
Hmm...I wished that...in Ren's route...the true route...all of the 4 main guys were able to solve the problems they were going through when they're all in Platinum Jail. Like...Mink gets to kill Toue for what he did and get his revenge, Koujaku gets to kill Ryuuhou and come to terms with his past and the tattoos that were branded into him, Noiz being able to feel again, and Clear realizing that his face is fine and is able to take off his gas mask along with learning the truth of his origins. I'm not sure if this is right or not, but the true route isn't unlocked until we go through the other 4 routes. If that is really true, then it wouldn't be a problem to incorporate what happens in their respective routes in the true route.
In the true route, when all of them are reunited, it was heartbreaking to see them all together, and to see Aoba end up with one person while the others are stuck still dealing with their inner demons.

Beautiful and completely Mind Blowing.

I've only listened to the bad ending songs so far.
My favorite of the bad ending songs is Tears, which is Koujaku's bad ending song.
Immer Sie, which is Clear's bad ending song, is an extremely close second. Because if you watch his re:connect bad ending, and then that song plays, and if you listen to the lyrics, it's...heartbreakingly beautiful.
So yeah.
