i had a dream where i found myself
and happiness soon followed
where the world spun in sync with me
and expelled all my sorrows

i had a dream that was beautiful
for once, i felt right at home
surrounded by those that i miss
and i never again felt alone

i had a dream last night i wish i could remember
so i could lose myself in my thoughts forever
but like all good things, it came to an end
and i felt broken, alone, and lost once again

there you were, as sweet as can be
such a lovely sight and easy to see
i could tell that you had eye for me
cause you knew something i wouldn't believe

there you were, a beautiful thing
changing the world into an early spring
as i heard from the words you proudly sing
that you had a lot, have a lot to bring

i had a dream last night i wish i could recall
so i could lose myself in the beauty of it all
but like all good things, it had come to an end
and i felt like i lost such an amazing friend
