what's a promise to someone who lies
a thank you for someone who tried
is it a reward for their hard work?
she's got a record with a checkered past
and a memory that could never last
but she remembers that november
she is a real sweetheart to the ones that pay
for all her material possessional shame
she ignores their vanity fair
well i remember the that things that she said
splitting open straight through to my head
with your words that bear resemblance
just like the last time you said your goodbye
it was almost as if you wanted to cry
