VioletRiot94's and ApocTwilly Story

Violet rushed from table to table, narrowly avoiding customers or other waiters with practice ease. Her shift was almost done so she needed all of her tables done and cleared.
Five more minutes. Just five more minutes till she was done. She had no more tables to wait. They had all left full and happy. Right when she was about to put down her tray, a new customer walks in.
And of course it was one of the adventuring kind. They always seem to start fights, no matter what. She sighed as he was put at one of her tables. "Why me?" she thought drearily as she trudged over to the table.
Sighing internally she put on a smile and faced the customer. He had put his flaming sword off to the side and seemed to be taking off some of his armor. She blushed slightly, but coughed to get his attention.
He looked up at her in surprise, as if expecting no one to bother him.
"Uh, hello"
"Hello Sir, I'll be your server tonight. My name's Violet."
"Twilly." he smiled and held his hand out.
She quickly shook it and moved on with her little practiced speech. "Today's special is Dragon steak. So what would you like to drink?"
"Uh, I'll have the Dragon Breath Ale."
Violet mentally rolled her eyes. Typical adventurer.
"Alright, sir." She went to move before he grabbed her arm. He flashed her a winning smile.
"Why don't you sit with me?"
“Can’t, it’s a rule.” She replied emotionlessly, before turning again. He once again grabbed her arm.
She mentally sighed and turned to him. Why couldn’t he keep his hands to himself?
“When do you get off?”
“5 minutes ago, sir. But I’m stuck waiting your table.” She said sir with more venom then she wanted, but it got through to him
“Oh,” was all he could say.
So she finally walked away, but not before trading off handsy, to her friend.
Soon she finished waiting on an old couple, and could finally walk home.
The sun started to set and shrouded her small village in darkness. Small clouds covered the beautiful full moon that rested in the sky.
Her village, which was bustling in the daytime, was eerily quiet at night.
Violet shivered involuntarily at the lack of sun, drawing her coat around her, she rushed to get to her warm house.
As she walked in the semi-dark she heard footsteps in time with her own. They followed her for quite a while.
“Oh how clichéd” she thought as her fear rose at the prospect of the unknown. She turned around hoping for someone to be there, but saw no one in street. Her fear rose to new levels as she tried to continue on with her walk. The footsteps eventually stopped and Violet sighed in relief.
It was probably just someone on their way home.
Speaking of home, her home just came into view and she gratefully rushed to her door. She fumbled with her keys but finally got it into the lock and pulled open her door, to only bump into something hard and with terrible breath. She slowly looked up and instinctively backed up.
“Goddamit David!” She yelled at the figure. Her most recent ex-boyfriend stared at her groggily and with an obvious drunk look. “Why’d ya leave me Violet?” he asked. “ I checked the horrible place you work at but they said you left. I saw you walking home and decided to follow. I mean it would be terrible if something happened to you.” He laughed , it was so close to insanity, it made her fear come back tenfold. She backed up out of her house, hoping to get away.
“ But I decided to beat you here. I noticed you threw all my stuff out. Though you forgot about my key.” He smiled at her holding his key to her house in his hands. “I love you Violet. Why don’t you love me?”
Her anger took over her fear rather quickly. Though it came out in a insane laugh, similar to his “ Love you? Did you forget about the time you broke all my contact with people because they might put ideas in my head and I could only listen to you? Or what about the time you tried to force me to marry you?” She shivered at that particular memory. “ Or what about the times you would beat me within an inch of my life! I never loved you! I feared you!” She glared at the man before her.
David stared at her but with rather quick moves grabbed her and mashed their lips together. She tried to reel away in disgust but he held fast. When he finally did let go she got an arm free and slapped him across the face.
He instantly let her go and it was his turn to reel back, holding the spot she hit.
“ You-you hit!” He yelled in disbelief sounding much like a four year old.
“ Not fun, is it!?” she yelled back in equal immaturity.
The hit seem to sober him up though. He glared at her with pure venom and ice.
“You’re dead, Violet.” He growled before lunging for her.
When he grabbed, he slapped her in the same manner she did.
She winced in pain, already feeling the bruises forming on her arms and face. He held both her hands above her with one hand while he used the other to repeatedly punch her in the stomach. The air was gone from her lungs and she grasped for air, knowing she wasn’t going to get any.
He flung her across the street slamming her into a brick wall. Her back arched in pain as she hit the wall, it shot through her body, numbing everything else.
As she fell her body grew limp and she couldn’t move anything. The pain had become unbearable. She groaned when the pain just radiated from everywhere on her person.
David walked slowly towards her and crouched by her. “ Oh my dearest Violet, I’ll be the last thing you’ll ever see”
He grabbed a fist full of her hair and raised her toward his face. She stared at him, not able to do a thing.
He started to chuckle to himself and pulled out a small knife. Bringing the knife to her throat he looked at her one more time
“ Goodbye, love.”
‘ Wonderful,’ Violet thought ‘He’s going to kill me; this day couldn’t get any better.’
Suddenly, he was thrown off of her in a bright flash of red.
The owner of the flash ran towards Violet and scooped her up before turning to the man he just hurt.
“Don’t you ever touch her again!”
Violet looked up at the man holding her and saw twilly, his face pure rage.
‘Handsy!’ her mind screamed in joy
David laid glaring at Twilly from his spot on the ground.” Give me back my trophy!” He screamed
“No”
Twilly used his fire sword once again to blast him unconscious, mostly just to shut him up.
“You okay, Violet?” He asked looking down on her.
She stared at him, before slowly nodding. She laid her head on her shoulder and closed her eyes.
Maybe this day could get better.
