I only got my 3ds on Christmas Day. I noticed from it's release, a genre of games never put on a nintendo handheld system, arcade fighting games. This is one of 3 arcade fighting games I got at christmas. I'll get to the other two later.
Of course with street fighter series, there is no real story, I mean we got intertwining stories between all 35 characters available. However most likely some are non-canon. Regardless it's a sort of build your own adventure without a choice and certainty aside from your character's rival and Seth. Anyways no real story, but that's not the important part about SF anyways.
Now the gameplay. Luckily I have been playing SF since Street Fighter II Arcade so aside from learning the Ultra and Super Combos, things mostly stayed the same for the older cast like Ryu and Chun-Li. Of course then from II to IV there's now the aforementioned combos, EX and Focus attacks, grapple moves, and force cancels, all great new moves and skills to change the game. I'm mediocre with these skills as i'm still on medium-hard difficulty for arcade mode.
The music is very nice, I especially like the character songs, especially Fei Longs and Juri's. Though I guess since i'm constantly button mashing and touch screen tapping I don't listen to it much, but when I took the time to, they did a great job.
Nonny's rating: 8/10. Capcom did a good job compressing the popular game down to handheld form. Now I'm getting more hooked into the fighting games.
Nonny's tip: Pick a character and learn them well. Practice all combos and for certain, check out the trials mode, it'll teach you some good combos. Don't start any other character unless you're good with the first one you picked.
Nonny's Pick: Juri, Sakura, Fei Long, Gouken, and Ibuki
