Medieval Romance Rpg:Me and Timorous Werewolf part 1
Vir Fortis bit his lip as he stood in front of the tall and amazing doors. Today he was to take the princess from the throne room, to the carriage and out through the land. Weeks later he would be handing her over to the other kingdom to be married. Such was his job. Everything in the castle was done with flawless details and beauty, making him afraid that he would seem dull to the girl. Shaking his head he had to remind himself that such things didn't matter. The king had promised her to another man... who was more than five years over her age. But such was common in this time. His armor for this was light but the sword at his side was still heavey and sheathed away at his waist. He nearly jumped when the doors suddenly opened and the king was welcoming him into the room. Going in with long strides he kneeled with his head lowered, recieving the same instructions and waited for the girl to give him her hand and permission to do the quest. Vir was of course a fit man, short cut brown hair with lightly tanned skin from his often times being outside. His eyes, when they opened again and raised to the girl were revealed to be blue.
She looked down with a soft face, she had long golden hair and emerald green eyes..She wore a low-cut dress that was sapphire blue
Vir blushed easily at the sight of her so close. Lowering his eyes again he held his hand up to her and took one of her hands into his own. "If it pleases you my princess I would be honored to escourt you. Your luggage has been placed in the carriage and your favorite horses are ready to pull it. Clothes, gold, jewerly, and so on are packed up and loaded. All is ready for your departure. Is there anything you are worried that we may have missed?" He asked, finding it easier to talk when he wasn't staring into her lovely green eyes.
A small cat leaped into her arms.."Ready" she smiled sweetly
Looking up again at her he smiled and stood slowly, taking a step back as well so he wouldn't stand too close to her. "Then come my princess." He said softly as he turned to walk out with her, seeing that the king had left for some reason to one of the rooms on either side of the throne.
she followed with a soft and quiet smile, the kitten purring in her arms..
Walking with her Vir found no need to to look back from hearing the cat's purring. He opened the door into the carriage for her, gesturing for her to enter.
"Thank you" she smiled..stepping into the carriage
He nodded and shut the door behind her before going up to begin instructing the horses on where to go. Before long the hooves were stomping over the bridge that lead out of the castle.
she looked softly yet sadly at her dissapearing home as they rode away..
They kept ridding for a while until things started to get dark, stopping at the first town he brought the carriage to a safe place. "We'll have to stop for the night miss, I found us a inn we can stay out but further on we may need to camp outside." He informed her as he opened the door for her and held out his hand to her.
"Allright sir, dont let go..i have trouble when i first step into the dark" she smiled, stumbling on her way out, brabbing onto him so she wouldnt fall..
"Of course my princess." He replied, holding her when she stumbled so she wouldn't hit the floor. "Would you like your cat to stay in the inn with you?" Vir asked, trying to keep himself from staring at her.
"yes..come ruby" she smiled, the kitten leaping into her arms, she kissed its furry cheek..
Vir nodded and made sure she was able to stand safely before closing the door behind her.
"Thank you" she said softly with a smile..
"Everything for the princess." He replied while giving her a smile in return before bowing his head, "Anything else you would like in the room with you? I have your dresses and nightgowns all packed up in one bag. I'm sure I can get a girl at the inn to care for you if you need it." Vir offered as he lead the girl inside, more worried about getting her safe away in her room. He was planning on going back for her bags once she felt comfortable in a room.
"No thank you..um..im sorry, i seem to have forgotten or not know your name" she said softly
"I am only the knight Fortis my princess, Vir Fortis." He replied as they entered the small and empty lounge.
She smiled, the man had a nice name.."Nice to meet your aquaintance..Mr.Fortis"
"Is there anythine else you'd like me to call you by princess?" He asked before turning to the inn keeper and paying for the only room they had left.
"You can call me maria if you like, it is my name" she smiled sweetly..
Vir smiled at her name, taking the key to the room. "A lovely name for a lovely girl. Very fitting." He replied as he guided her up the steps and unlocked the room the inn keeper had mentioned was their's for the night.
"Thank you.." she said softly..she had never been told that before
"Here you are, a nice cozy room all to yourself. I'll be right back with your bag that has your nightgown and other dresses Maria." He replied as they went in, holding her hand and kissing it before handing her the keys to the room. "Please wait here and let no one but me in."
