DAMN that game is hard!! Mostly because there are times when the ghosts do not cooperate with you and they ARE supposed to. Everything is done in a seemingly random way, and yes, Marion (The fiery female ghost... literally...) Toberen is SUPPOSED to get mad at you and fly off that first time around.
I think I spent two hours period on this game, trying to figure out what to do. It would have been an hour and a half, or even an hour, but I kept starting from the beginning various times, thinking I'd done something wrong, and each time I kept moving faster.
This time, my efforts were rewarded.
So, that ******** in the reviews, who said, 'click the fire lady, then the killers arm, then his gun, it all plays out from there.'
The ******** was wrong.
First, when he says 'any last words?' you click his arm. He SHOULD react in a semi terrified manner, looking around in a frightened way, trying to find what touched him.
WHILE he is looking around, you must act fast: You touch Marion-she will summon up a fireball and light the ******** up like a joint. While he flails like an angry Deku tree, click his gun. He drops it, and then the cut scenes begin. n_n
SO... you click him, he looks around, you touch Marion, then his gun.
Mind you, I can't remember if he looks around after his dialogue or before.
I know he says something like "Wait, did you feel that?!"
I am pretty sure he says something first, so set yourself up: As soon as you click that X to close the dialogue box, CLICK MARION REALLY QUICKLY, AND AS FAST AS YOU CLICKED HER, GO FOR HIS GODDAMN MURDER WEAPON-THE GUN!!
As for how to get through DEEPNET and CARDINAL...
Uh, I spent two hours on this stupid game, and a lot of it was guesswork until it made it obvious for me and I was allowed to follow through.
Ghostly eyes are in the fountain behind/next to the library... the three candles are... um... well, one is in this house in the block next to the police station (To the right?) and the other is in a tree house below the park that is below the school courtyard.
The third... I think Adam's fiancee leaves it behind. Marion can light them up, supposedly, but I had to use the damned lit candles when she wouldn't. XD
When lit, they go on: The roof of the hospital, the cross on the roof of the church (Stand in front of the community church and press up: This should show you the roof from a neighborhood behind it. XD) and the most obvious one: the little bit of red paint on the swing in the park below the school court yard.
It's pretty obvious what is going to remind them: Once they frigging let you show them what you've got to remind them with, present them with:
A beer can to Stephen Marks in the hospital (The former teacher who taught at Mayor middle school was hit while driving his motorbike by a drunk driver named Rick... and incidentally, the beer can can easily be found laying next to the bum as he lies down on a sidewalk... I'll let you find the sidewalk on Chelsea ST. n_n)
The Wedding Photo to Marion Toberen in the Church (Her ******** of a husband lit the house on fire, killing her in the process. She had discovered, perhaps, the body of one of his past kills, and so he killed her to keep her quiet. Obviously, you look through the burned wreckage on the top floor (Or, rather, the 'present floor' seeing as you don't have the choice of discovering the basement until the second round, when you don't have a choice anyway, seeing as you're shot into it by the failed portal. XD)
Speaking of which... when you get down there, please pick up that skull and give it to Marion? It would make her very, very angry if you did, pretty please? XD
(Just shittin' ya: You're supposed to give her the skull in order to further the story.) By the way.... use as many names as you can on the database in the police office in the second round, when Angela is asleep. It's pretty fun to see all these different cases, learning about the different characters, including some that don't really come up themselves in the game at all!!
and finally, our very own Suicide Queen:
The Ghostly Eyes to Rebecca Halloway, in the Park (Or is she in the courtyard at this time? She can usually be found in both, though for a while you couldn't find any of the ghosts during the second round. XDD) After giving her her sight back, hear her out, and then try giving her the bunny that the little girl dropped in the beginning. Rebecca keeps it for comfort.
This is crucial becaaause... the story can't be furthered without it. In the second round, you're too weak for much of anything besides talking to other ghosts. When those little shits come back to harass Sarah, the little blonde girl, you need to find Rebecca and lead her to the front of the school, where the boys are waiting beneath a tree: A tree that Sarah had climbed in order to escape the noisy ********. Get Rebecca to scare the boys away. Once they're gone, Rebecca feels all maternal 'n' crap while the little girl feels all frightened 'n' crap.
Now... for some bizzare reason I can't explain to you: When I gave Rebecca the pink bear... she kept it, but SHE GAVE IT RIGHT BACK!!
You give the bear to Rebecca after she's frightened off the boys, and she gives it to Sarah, who then likes Rebecca. n_n
Now... you guys are gonna have to figure out Stephen's case, because his was really hard and really weird, and I'm not entirely sure what I gave him that made him change his mind... and to be honest, I'm not willing to play this game over again just to see what it was: By then, I'll forget. XD
So, this is all I can give off the top of my head.
Happy head hunting for Greg Toberen, that b*****d!!
