Seraph, Helica, i loves you guys! xd everything i read from you both makes me happy.
Seraph, i would like to know more about what you just said, could you elaborate, please? smile i am not sure i fully understand what you mean by "zero time."

Time could be simply irrelevant. Have you read Slaughterhouse-5? It could work in a situation like that, where we can "see" how time can and will pass, and most things will "look" like centipedes, stretching out into all of their possible actions.
I prefer to imagine it as a melding with the universe.
If this helps any, imagine that you spread to fill your whole living room, as divine soul energy. Since you are in all of it, traveling through it is now irrelevant. You already ARE in all of it. It should work thus with time- You are already in all of it, and therefore moving through it becomes irrelevant. That is what omnipotence is like, and that is what the soul is made of.
Edit- This isn't just pulled out of my a**, this is an alchemical concept that I extrapolated on. All things have degrees of subtlety. For example, we have mundane fire, and spiritual fire (Which was also known as Heaven- It was the subtlest of things, and "burned" with gentle light and heat, but did not consume) If we go, in order, from Matter to Plasma to Energy to Soul, then soul is the least vulgar of things. according to the theory of relativity, (Which I tend to disagree with, in part) light is the fastest (least material, most subtle) thing that still exists in time, and as the "measuring stick" of time. I believe that light is a particle with a wave attached (As it can act as both- I feel it's more likely that it IS both, than some form of magic matter that comes from regular matter, but gets to act like it's half energy. I feel that the same rules apply to light as anything else.) and is therefore more in the realm of matter than energy.
This said, if light is the line that separates time from beyond-time (Meaning, energy is close to the gap and divinity is beyond it) then the soul would be outside of time, as mentioned above.
This is a long way of saying "It's subtler than the stuff that is inside of time, so it is outside of time."
This, of course, begs the question of what time feels like to YOU- Relativity implies that it will feel the same no matter what speed you go, but if we come to a point where we are immune to time, how then, do we experience anything if our time to do so is zero?
To specifically answer your question (I got distracted), if something is outside of time, it can still (According to relativity) observe things at it's normal speed. However, to the outside world, objectively, no time has passed. This leads to an interesting paradox, potentially, but I wont go there now.
hm... this does sound intriguing.... but it feels so incomplete. firstly in that in Alchemy there are Mundane (Sodium) forms, Pure or Gnostic (Mercury) forms, and Tainted (Sulphur) forms of all Matter and Energy. myself being a practitioner of Chaos Magic have identified all Matter as Energy (though not all Energy as Matter), and if all Energy is also subject to these Alchemical Laws than it would have to include Thoughts and Emotions.
of course, this can only be speculated, not proven via discourse.
secondly, in that it seems difficult to fully grasp what you are saying without knowing the details of what your basis for it is. perhaps you could PM me the details? smile
however, i would venture to say that Relativity becomes irrelevant when one exists Consciously Aware of his Omnipresence. it is only while we live in this 4-dimensional world, percieving 3 tangible dimensions and one hidden dimension, that we must allow ourselves to believe in the Relativity of Time and Space. and to speculate how Time feels to us in Relation to our place in Time and Space does not matter because it is neither of practical use, nor Metaphysically true.
It is true that there is a Salt, Mercury and Sulfur to all things- However, I believe they are all phases of each other, like the phases of water- It's most subtle form, steam, it's "energy" form, water, and the vulgar material form, ice.
We live and exist as mortals in the lowest realm there is- That of the material world. The laws of the material world are not relevant to things more subtle because they are not material. They do not require area or mass or time to function and exist completely.
Our bodies are the corrupted Salt. Our spirits are the energy that vitalize and move us, that obtain nutrients and turn them to biological motion, the Animus- Our Mercury. Our soul is us, ourselves, which is bound by the earlier two to the material plane. When we give up the prior, we must therefore exist as divinity, Soulstuff is what was before there was. (Less cryptically, the soul is (part of) the One Only One that existed before the big bang- It requires neither area nor energy nor time to function.)
The basis for this idea is the subtlety of the soul- Things exist in degrees of perfection. Bodies are at the bottom, souls are at the top. Bodies have far more needs than souls, and are far more easy to destroy or corrupt.
Of course, there is Thoth's rule, as above so below- So it is very possible that we exist within the law of three after death, though in a sublimated state.
hm... definately food for thought. thank you Seraph, i am exhausted rightnow, and in need of sleep, but i will be saving this. perhaps i will pick it up again with you at a later time. smile
