i have to say GaGa, all the way. smile she stands for alot more, and is a way better role model. ^_^
don't get me wrong, i love most of Kesha's music (with some exceptions), but she seems to live her entire life the way i live my weekends. o_O; it's a bit extreme, and overall self-destructive. she's like the 70's Hippie of 2010, and we need 2010 Hippies right now (like myself).
Lady GaGa however, is an amazing symbol of Self-Governance, and a wonderful Activist in that she is a Slut (like myself) and doesn't give a damn! biggrin i am happy about this, because of a number of reasons:
1.) it forces parents and schools and churches to talk about Sexuality. and that is a good thing, no matter what side of the fence you sit on concerning your feelings about Sex.
2.) it shows that women like Sex as much as men. i know that i have often thought about getting a Sex Change, but don't, because i know that even if i did i couldn't get pregnant. if i were born a girl, i wouldn't have nearly as many friends as i do now because i would have tried to get pregnant at a VERY young age, and would never once regret it. i think that Lady GaGa is the perfect example of an Icon for girls like i would have been. and i would be able to live my life and stop worrying about how everyone hates me, because here is a woman who is on TV standing up for Female Sexuality. me being a Man, all i get for being a Slut is a verbal slap on the wrist. it's sexist.
3.) her music has alot more to say then Kesha's does. Kesha is great for parties, but so is alot of stuff. Political music, or music and attitudes which support a Political agenda or whatnot have relevancy. i know that this isn't always smiled upon, and even i have to admit that i liked the point of the lyrics of "Airplane" by B.o.B. and Haley Williams. but i am a big Political Activist.
