Chapter 9: A new beginning
Sunlight was beating down on the group of Link, Marth, Roy, Zelda, Mitako and the newly reformed Tentura.
"Link, it's so hot out here. I don't know how long I can stand this." Roy said.
"Just hold on a little longer, Roy. We can make it. We'll stop in Kakariko soon. I know it." Link said.
The troop traveled on. All except Zelda and Mitako were burning in the blazing heat.
Link was sitting outside with Roy, just incase they had to battle again.
"Sire, I think we should let our animals rest near a river or something. My steed cannot take anymore."said Tentura.
"Zelda, I think we should let the animals rest for a while. Epona is slowing more and more every 30 minutes. Hours of continuous travel without any breaks is not healthy for these animals."
"Right. I agree, my dear. We should let them rest. Besides, I really have to use the facilities!"Zelda said, letting out a small giggle.
The group stopped at a pond out in the middle of Hyrule Feild.
Zelda got out of the carrage with Mitako, Link lead Epona to the water, Marth lead his horse to the water and filled his cantine, and Tentura with his boar to the water as well. They all seemed to be happy to be able to walk around for a while, and the animals seemed to be happy to rest for a while since the trip has been taking so long.
Why is this trip taking so long? I don't think we can take it anymore. But I'm not going back until I see Midna for myself. She is my friend, and I can't go on in life without seing her at least a few times throughout the year.Link thought.
We must be getting close to Inuyasha and Kagome. They're supposed to be here soon. I don't know where they could be thought. I'm sure I sensed the sacred jewel shards around here. I'll find out soon enough if they're here or not. It's not like Inuyasha would forget about seeing us, right? Wait. He would. I can trust Kagome to remember us. Not Inuyasha, the big idiot.Zelda thought.
