[Bio] Jace Eli Merlotte was born on November 22, 1994, at 10:27 at night to mother Charlotte, a college professor, and father James, also a college professor. He has a twin brother, Jacob, who was born exactly 3 minutes before him. Jace and his family lived next door to the Zanes, who had a daughter his age. Her name was Corinne. Jace, his brother, and Corinne quickly became friends, and they never left each others' side. When Jace was 13, his parents began to fight. At the time, Jace never understood why, but now it is clear to him that money problems were involved. The fighting got so bad that his dad moved out. Jace didn't turn to his brother or Corinne. Instead, he turned to anger, frustration, and dark music. He became very bitter, although he was still kind-hearted deep down inside (he ignored it). He developed feelings for Corinne soon afterwards, and began to think of Jacob, who also loved Corinne, as his rival instead of his brother. When Jace became a freshman in high school, his parents had worked out their issues and his dad had moved back in. All would've been well, had it not been for Jace's drastic attitude change. It was simply too late. Jace would not be able to change back to his old self again. Now Jace is a junior in highschool, and desperately trying to get Corinne away from Jacob.
