[Name] Elayne Vercosta (ee-layn vurr-cost-uh).
[House] Gryffindor.
[Nickname] Her close friends and family call her Laney.
[Birthday] December 3, 1994 (Age 17, a sixth-year).
[Eye Color] Dark golden.
[Hair] This, but longer in the front, with the bangs hanging right over her eyes. Bright red in color.
[Body Type] 5'7" with long slender legs and arms. Very lady-like hands and fingers. Very skinny, but not bony. Pale skin. Faint freckles lay across her petite nose and under her easygoing eyes. Although she runs a lot, she has the body of a true dancer.
[Personality] An overall happy person, about 95% of the time. A bit stubborn. Turns a lot of boys down; she's looking for that "special guy." When she doesn't want to hear someone, she'll simply ignore them. Brave. Adventurous. Very intelligent. Acts like she doesn't worry about grades, but that's because she doesn't need to; trust her, she's got it all under control. An early-bird and a night-owl. Extremely graceful. Light and quick on her feet. Can be classy and elegant when she wants to. Has an amazing singing voice. Gentle, but only when she's dealing with plants; otherwise, she won't be afraid to not sugarcoat anything she says or does. A bit of a wild child.
[Stand-outish Features] Her hair (of course). Her gracefulness. Her beauty. Her singing voice. Her wild side.
[Clothes] For school, this (without the skull heels), and this. For casual, this, this, or anything within that style range.
[Wand] Birch, phoenix tail feather, 10 inches. Colored a sickly white with black rip-like carvings (like a Birch tree).
[Likes] Plants (her favorite is lavender). Running. Parties. Fall and Winter. Flying on her broomstick. Anything that involves water or being under it. Anything exciting. Fireworks. Music. Singing. Dancing.
[Dislikes] Summer. Bugs. Being bored. Niko Frabray and his posse.
[Theme Song] Dog Days Are Over by Florence + The Machine
[Bio] Elayne had a happy childhood living with her Muggle family. This included her mother Sharon (a chef), her father Collin (a business man), and her sister Geena (younger by 8 years). She went to Muggle school with her best friend Margo Nory until they both got their letters to Hogwarts at the age of eleven. Her parents weren't exactly thrilled, but they allowed her to go anyway. Elayne loved Hogwarts from the moment she walked through the doors. The teachers, the students, the classes; it was all so amazing through her eyes. She was placed in Gryffindor, while Margo was placed in Hufflepuff. This was disappointing, but she knew they would stay friends no matter what. She quickly caught on to magic, and excelled in everything, especially Herbology. Ever since she was little, she'd had a passion for plants. She even kept her own garden back at home. A few months into the school year, Elayne and Margo were walking through the halls on their free period when they spotted a group of second-year boys teasing and bullying a first-year boy from Ravenclaw. Margo wanted to leave them alone, but Elayne wouldn't stand for it. She pushed through the growing crowd and yelled for them to stop. One of the second-years, apparently the leader of the group, turned. Elayne immediately knew who he was: Niko Frabray, one of the most popular guys in school. He was good looking, and he was on the Slytherin Quidditch team. But these things didn't phase Elayne. She told Niko to back off. Everybody laughed. Niko told her that she should run off and let the boys do their job. She simply ignored him, and helped the now-shaking first-year stand up, and led him off. The second-years were shocked at how simple Elayne's defiance was. Margo and Elayne escorted the boy back to his common room, where he introduced himself as Luka Treelee. He thanked Elayne for saving him, and the three became instant friends. After that run-in, Niko had tried to ask Elayne out multiple times, but she could never forgive him for what he'd done to Luka. Now Elayne is a sixth-year, and Niko is still trying to win her over.
[Love?] Niko Frabray says that he likes her, but she thinks he's only in it for her looks. Therefore, she turns him down. But perhaps one day she'll give him a chance...
[Other] She has a snowy owl named Bouleau ("birch" in French [boo-low]) that carries her mail. She named him this because of the black specks on his wing feathers, thus reminding her of a birch tree. Sometimes she skips class to go flying or swimming or running. She always makes up the work with no problem, of course.
