As I played around with light armored soldiers with my close combat models, I came across many variations that I set to the side in case a new idea struck me. This is the case with the Infiltration Model, and I'm sure simply looking at it can tell the whole story. When the other robots are pounding away at the defenses of a base, these light models will be cutting their way in through ducts and underground access points to get inside.
As you can see, the arm mounted blade makes a comeback after being removed from the production model of the close combat type. It made much more sense here, but I modified the blade from its original electrically charged brother. This blade is retractable, heated, and vibrates at high speeds. It's a tool first and foremost but, of course, it makes a handy weapon in close combat. It was perfect for this model, as it spends much of its time in dark places, making the solar arrays much less effective. The blade uses much less energy than the plasma blade from the close combat model, and the pistol is powered by clips rather than the robot itself.
Speaking of the solar arrays: this model sports a new energy collector to power the robot longer out of the sun. Granted, the solar array already holds a charge for quite a while (allowing the robots to fight well beyond a full night) but these infiltration types would be without sunlight for days on end, so it not only sports a larger collector, but an emergency generator on the back. Also (as you can see from the legs) the red parts still play the role of the solar arrays, and I've added them to the legs in such numbers to increase the power-up time. This way, if there is only a small spot of sunlight, the bot has a choice of arm or leg to stick out without revealing the whole body.
Regardless of all this, the robot is still the lightest model out of them all. This, of course, makes it the least armored and that makes keeping-out-of-sight the highest priority in its programming. A few good shots will take one of these down. However, they are quick, and they are silent, and I think that picks up the slack.
