I'm not an Anarchist (Why Laws Should Exist and the Market Should Provide Them)

I have now come to realize the error of that term "Anarchy". It's sole purpose being childish, immature, impossible, impractical, and erroneous. Anarchy is the absence of law, but the anti-statists, we don't want that. Lawlessness creates a hole in which chaos enters through, and laws are what keep chaos away from a society. And these anarchists, they are against law, they are against private property and private ownership. This is a dangerous thing they are advocating. We need laws to protect us, there needs to something that blocks that hole, something that says "Entritt Verboten!"

Law, although something that does not exist in the singular, is something that is necessary for a stateless system to prosper. The market should provide laws. The market should provide private law enforcement. I know what you're thinking: "But aren't you just proposing then that we should have smaller and more states in a single area. Then how would that be a stateless society?"

First of all, how do you see a state? I would assume, if one responds to me in that manner, that the said person sees a state as something that provides law at any scale. I see state as something a bit different. I see the state as a coercive monopoly of law enforcement and some other commodities. It gives people no choice but to pay for its services through taxation (which rests on marginal violence and possibly death threats) and it creates barriers that make it difficult for private businesses to flourish and forces them to resort to raising their prices.

What I am saying is through private law enforcement is that it shall not be in a huge scale as big as state law, but in every sector, it will be voluntarily payed for. Agreements in any community on how law enforcement will be funded can be of any emergent structure of THEIR choice. Laws are useful, but a large scale state is not needed to create a decently running law enforcement and judicial system.
