Wow, so a lot have happened since my last entry, and here I am, almost a year later after my mum's passing. It's been a rough time, but I'm strong in mind. This is probably the first time since she died, that I can truly say that I am happy. And I'm happy without feeling guilty about it!
I have finally found myself an apartment, my own first home! It's located approximately 3 min. from the University, where I'll start studying English this Summer. I saw it for the first time last Friday, and I called the landlord a few hours later and said I wanted it, and so I got my very own first home, it's ready for me to move in 1/3<3
So after realising I've got my own place, I just knew that I had to carry out the dream I had had since I was about 10-11. Getting a Maine Coon! I had my first meeting with them when I was about that age, and ever since then I've been in love. They're SO beautiful<3 So Saturday I started googling some Maine Coon Catteries, I found a lot of different sites. And a lot them had kittens, but I kinda knew that it might be a bit hard for me to find one. Because a lot of the people that runs the catteries have a lot of demands. Like they won't sell you the cat if it is ever to be alone, or if you don't have another cat or dog already, plus I'm very young and so on. I found two Catteries that I wrote to, I spent probably over 2 hours writing the mails. I wanted them to know how and who I am. And how my relationship with cats have been. And the day after, I got a call surprised
It was a very nice lady called Margrethe, she and her husband Michael's Cattery was just in the neighbour town, I didn't even know, I had written to them about a Kitten called Domino, and she invited me over to have a look and to have a chat. Rick and me, ate our breakfast and drove off. When I entered their home, it was like pure heaven, there was cats EVERYWHERE! In little hammocks on the wall, on the couches, in little hideouts, just everywhere eek We spent almost two hours there, they where SO nice people, and little Domino was so sweet... actually all of the cats and kittens where razz It took me ages to realise that they would let me buy him. I know that it might sound stupid, but I get that they want to make sure that the person they give their cat to, is someone who will look after them with all their heart and not just anyone can have Maine Coons. But I truly would give him all he ever needs, and I would love him, and cuddle him, ah! I've wanted to be able to do that for SO many years! And that shined through. So I payed the deposit for him. He will be ready to leave in mid Febuary, but as I first move in the 1st of March, they told me he could stay with them until then <3
When I got home I hadn't even realised that my dream had become true! I just couldn't get it, it was only a few hours before I went to bed that I found out, haha it might sound cheesy, but it's like being love xD I am SOO happy, that I just can't believe it. Haha I didn't even take a picture of him, because I was so estatic about all of the cats, it didn't even occur to me xD I saw his mum, dad and grandad, his grandad Tobascus is definately the biggest Maine Coon I've ever seen! SO huge! His dad Dexter is also really really big, but he is only 2 years old, and Maine Coons don't stop growing until they're about 4 years old so, he still has got growing to do. Margrethe told me that she thought that Domino would get really big too, and wauw, I can't complain razz
So I have a lot on my mind and a lot to do right now razz I have to find new furniture, hammocks and hideouts for Domino and a lot of different things for him, lol and I have to find a new job too razz It's like I'm floating on a pink cloud right now biggrin I'll go see Domino this week, and probably every week until he moves in with me. Margrethe and Michael told me I could come whenever I liked, can't believe who nice they are!
