Special Abilities: Karvanor is a Storm Caller. In other words a mages who's abillities focus on manipulating the weather. His favorite forms of weather manipulation include calling forth lighting and snow storms. In addition to his weather magic specializations he has a working knowledge of other common magical spells and practices. He has yet to find the limit of his arcane powers, assuming there is one. As he grows older his powers and arcane influence will only increase. Karvanor is also a planeswalker, meaning he travels between the different planes of existence and without ill effect, he is immune for the most part to the different ways different planes affect the body and mind.
General Blurb: Karvanor, despite being an elf was not born in any of the elven homelands. He was born to an elven pleasure slave in the city of Sigil on the outer planes. He does no know who his father is, only that his father was elven and an archmage of great power from one of the elven homelands. His mother has told him that he looks very much like his father but that offered no comfort to the young elf. Karvanor was turned out onto the streets of Sigil at the tender age of thirty when his mother was killed by her master for displeasing him. Karvanor ran with the other street urchins of the city and that was where his magic talents first started to develop, out of a need to eat and stay alive. It was on the streets where Karvanor first learned to fight, and in time he grew into a strong adolescent and avenged his mother's death. He slew the brothel keeper that had slain his mother. Time went on and Karvanor ran with one of the thieves guilds and became quite notorious. However on one assignment luck was not on the elf's side and perhaps for the better. He was assigned to steal a particularly powerful item from the homes of one of the half dragon mages that resided in Sigil, lets just say that Karvanor narrowly escaped a very messy end. The mage took pity on the young thief and took him in and cared for him as his own son. More importantly he saw the arcane potential in Karvanor and put him to work as his apprentice. His apprenticeship lasted for about 100 years. It was only then that the half dragon was satisfied that Karvanor had paid in full for is misadventure and made himself into an accomplished mage. Upon leaving his mentor Karvanor was gifted with the staff he carries, he will not leave it anywhere and woe betide anyone who tries to steal it.
Karvanor was wandered across the planes ever since, going to where he can put his skills to the most use.
