A Special Place
Goodbye is for those who can let go
But that's a feeling I don't know
For I'll always see your smiling face
The warmth of your hug I can't erase
Inside I'll always hold a special place
With all your love stored in one space
I hope you'll do just the same for me
Then we can be together for eternity
When I'm down I'll just close my eyes
Remember all those delightful times
In my heart I know you'll do the same
Together we'll make our doubts tame
Then, not alone, we'll take another step
At first small strides, but soon with pep
Each other shields to keep out sorrow
Hands held tight, waiting for tomorrow.
