The elves and the humans had been in war for a few years now. The war broke over land possessions. No side seemed to win since their armies and their leaders were brilliant, and always found ways to get to outsmart each other. The elves and the humans fought valiantly and with endeavor. The elves seemed to have a bit more advantage because a lot of them had magic powers and used them in war, but the humans tried their hardest to match that with their weapons so now and then developed new weapons, better weapons than the elves had. The strengths and weaknesses of both races seemed to balance out. most of the time.
Jade was the commander of an elf battalion. She was strong, smart, beautiful and very skilled in magic and battle. She was petite, with a curvy body, toned legs, small but firm bust, her posture was that of a princess. She had wavy, long and dark brown silky hair that fell on her shoulders gracefully. She had green eyes as Jade, which were the reason she was named after the precious green stone. Her lips were a pale pink, delicate and seductive. When she walked, she carried herself with dignity as all princesses should. In battle she was agile and quick, even graceful, as a great commander is expected to be. Her men looked up to her, followed her every order without question, they admired her discipline, her kindness, her firmness and fairness. It had been hard to get to where she was but she had worked hard to reach her goal and had succeeded. There were only a very few high ranking officers that knew she was a princess, the youngest daughter of the Elf King. And those who knew that, had always accused her of favoritism because she was royalty. But to her men and other offices, she was a great commander, one that had earned the place she was standing. They did not know she was royalty.
After all, she had gone against her father's wishes when she decided to join the army. He had done anything in his power to stop her from joining and when he couldnt stop her, he begged her to keep her identity a secret. To that, she consented and changed her name from Princess Jade Sorana to Jade Elora Dana. Her father then tried to stop her progress as she moved from rank to rank within the army, but he had not been able to stop her so he eventually gave up and let her be. She would prove to anyone what she was made of and she had.
Nevertheless, now she found herself running, trying to help escape as many as her men as possible. She had made a promise to each of her soldier's families that she would return them home, and until now, she had kept that promise.
Even though they had a good strategy in the battle and were winning, the humans' leader figured out a way to stop them from invading. Jade saw defeat coming and ordered her troops to retreat, as she stayed behind to make sure most of her troops escaped, she was captured along with a small number of her soldiers. She didn't care about being captured though. As long as most of her soldiers had escaped, she was happy. They would be able to join the main army.
As she thought this, someone shot her with a dart with a sedative in it. She fell on the ground, feeling dizzy and fought the urge to fall asleep. She fell unconscious as Human soldiers captured the few of the soldiers that had stayed behind with her. The last thing she saw was a pair of feet in front of her and a man in a cloak kneeling down by her. Reluctantly, she succumbed to unconsciousness.
