ok. So to be truthfully honest I was dreading this morning. I knew in my gut that I didn't want to be in colorguard, yet I signed up for it anyways...

that left me trying to think last night how to get out of it.

I came up empty, but I was delighted once I got to school!

Turns out that apparently no one had talked to Mr. Schulz about being drum major, even though Brittany said she was going to do it. o.O?

And for years now I've wanted to just give that a shot,

and lo and behold, Mrs. Schulz said I should try out! >.<!!

eeee and to think I had given up on that notion months ago... pleasant surprise! xD

so then after the colorguard practice (thank goodness for Emily- I had gotten rusty on the moves which require more hand movement, so she helped me out. ^^) Mrs. Schulz and I (and Gabi was hangin' with us, too... she was having fun watching) practiced, what else, marching backwards, doing the... things... *makes motions in the air*, and spinning around while walking. Which I have a little trouble with. xD

I didn't even know Emily did that...

speaking of which she needs to come in one of these days and show me everything she did as a drum major that I didn't notice being in the front row...

Tay I put in a good word for you as far as being THEE leader of the pack. xP

actually Taylor's part of the reason why I didn't wanna be in colorguard. I can't just leave her! D=

that, along with lotsa other things...

hmmm...

oh and after band camp I found out they're tearing down the band room! biggrin They'll make it bigger and flat, so there's more room for everything...

... and there is speak of having a different drum major outfit. I have a horrible memory as far as parts of clothes, so I was confused... there was something about white pants... and a short coat?... and one of those funny hats that apparently Jodi wore while she did it... =l Elsewise just the percussion outfit, or something like it.

Still can't believe my luck... xD




... I need to pop by the school website. There's prolly stuff up already...

OH and I was looking up stuff as far as making sleeves for the Earl thing, and when I found this I just about cried... Dx

it CAN'T be that hard... so I therefore resolve to find an easier pattern. ^^

speaking of sewing, I still dunno if I should do a quilting thinger for the fair again this year....I was watchin' TPT or something and they showed how to make them Lone Star things so now I wanna try one.... question is if I would ever get around to going it before August....

the dog killed one of our three (now two) ducks. Mad would be an understatement. I need to find a shock collar....



... dog project tonight. On the schedule it says "Stand for Examination"... sweatdrop


oh and last night I helped mom with her landscape thing. She made me reorganize the path she made, so we ended up transplanting a hosta to fill in a gap... also we moved the tires back to where they were (or about where they were xP) before the yard was torn up so lonnie and I dug irises out of a pile of dirt and transplanted them into the perennial garden...hope they do okay...

Clint Benson stopped by last night, too. He just sat and talked to dad (he works for Hubbard Feed Co.) ... we gave him ice cream. =P (found out his wife is pregnant for the first time, too...)


... guess that's about it for now...

looked up some other stuff last night, too- found out the Kakkoicon in Minneapolis has been changed to "MAC"- Minneapolis Anime Convention. -.-;;
