Gotta remember that if I google the above, I can actually find the video for this song. o_o
Funny... the video I had playing in my head (You know... with the characters from Versailles, including the short one herself, as instrumentalists.) was a whole lot better, but also more focused, which means... no distraction. Well, since the vid didn't show the instrumentalists playing at ALL, I have no referrences to go by. It's times like these that I wish I at least was a pretty good guitar player-that way, if I ever really learn to animate, I could get the finger movements right!
I wouldn't necessarily have to: It would just be interesting, you know? It would be one hell of a pain, though, to synch it to the music...
Besides, I haven't fully figured out who plays what. I have the majority, but Vers and Ven make a major problem here.
See, I'm thinking maybe I should bestow the gift of being a god of rock upon Venizin; by this, I mean he can play the guitar... WELL... and has the added gift of being able to play and sing simultaneously. That way, Vers can do Rhythm guitar while Ven does lead, leaving Attion for Bass and Lone to the drums. n_n All special sound effects can be handled by Benji backstage-forced there because Gina made him do it, as they needed the extra help to put on that concert. n_n *giggle* Speaking of which, they all sing... they sing specific songs, yes, and in a sense do nonspecific genres. At this point, the mental videos are all coming from listening to Italian music.
No, not opera: ITALIAN music. This means anywhere from Pop to Rock.... to Italian Rap. Yes, yes, I know. WOW. There are wiggers, jiggers, and now... Iggers. Sorry I couldn't coin a better term (But, hey, it made sense at the time!!)
Iggers... Ohhh, I feel awful!! >.<
But moving on...
So, who is the frontman for their little band? There is not specific one... but if you had to single him or her out, it would actually be narrowed down to TWO: Venizin, and Versailles. Hardly together, but they both sing as the frontman and frontwoman depending on the song. XD
Also, because of their genres, often times either Lone or Attion will step up and serve as frontman. Usually Attion serves as backup vocals for Ven or Lone, depending on who is singing lead. XD
Following this fashion, Gina serves as the backup and harmony singer for Versailles, who has a higher range, but can go at a comfortably lower tone of voice despite her young age. If she needs help with it, though, especially in harmonies, Gina will take it lower and Versailles will take it higher.
Versailles takes it high and Gina goes low.XD
Why am I so incredibly chipper when I am out of my head with exhaustion? The party is this Saturday, my birthday-had Friday been a school day- is smack dab in the middle of finals week (Next week> That means, yes, ladies and gents, I was born 12/21/87 a meager 17 years and 358 days ago.... that's a rough estimation, so don't quote me on that. In fact, I'm questioning the math I used here... eight days should not count... 365 days in a year, not counting leap years... ah, crap... that's one reason I have this wrong... oh well. Another day!).
My birthday has always been on the first week out of school for the winter break! Suddenly we have school on that day, and of all days it's on a Wednesday... in SCHOOL?
I think I can only recall one time where I had my birthday on a school day. >.<
I think what really ticks me off about this is that I have tests for two particularly trying classes, one of which I fear I am going to fail outright-economics. >_<
I really don't want to think about this right now... back to my sweet distraction, please? The creativity, or planning thereof?
I can't do it on paper... (A flip book)... otherwise, the timing would ALWAYS be messed up. Unless I can get the music IN there TIGHT, so I realize what's happening with the timing (I.E, it starts at the same time every time, which means that any little details in between can be tightened up, cleaned up, or worked to get it as synched as possible with the music-hence, timing.), there is no possibility of doing it on paper unless I went the stop animation way... with PAPER. -_-;
Plus, even then, I would have to do the whole animation myself FIRST, run the pages through the stop timer machine that records the pictures and synchs them together so they move the way they should, all I would have done is make a soundless animation.
I mean, I could fall a few minutes behind on the animation, and realize that AFTER playing the music with whatever it is I have of the animation. Then, after all is said and done, what do I do? I can't 'fix' anything-it is as it is! I can't change it! If I added scenes, it could screw up what I have, prolong things that shouldn't be prolonged, like someone's hand on a certain string on a guitar, or a drumstick staying on the canvas of the drum too long for the sound!
I really wish I could watch the real deal live though, if only to get a sense of their movements. >.<
But apparently, Sugarfree is very new to the music scene... in ITALY, of all places... I wish they were more accessible in this sense.
I need to RESEARCH people...
Goy, like I'll ever actually do this.
Besides, I remember watching the video and saying to myself "My god, man, stop licking the microphone already! scream " sweatdrop redface
*giggles* Yeah... Eh hehehe... eh...
Funny thing is, one of the movements their frontman made was eerily similar to one of the moves I had planned on having Veni do. Of course Venizin will be embellishing the song!
You see, by this point of the concert, Versailles had sung a song where her movements, um... 'inspired' him, thus pissing him off.
You see, Versailles, in my mind, is the ultimate performer. She has a decent voice, but her stage presence and movements are not to be forgotten. You can see the music flowing through her, and coming out in her voice and emotions. She lets it all out onstage, you could say. Onstage, she has no shame. When those lights are on her, she is not herself entirely. They unlock a different side, in a sense.
So, her astonishing and inspiring performance sort of pissed her husband off.
It was sort of like...
Awesome performance = The biggest damned dare.
You know the kind...
"Anything you can do, I can do better!"
So the most primal instinct, when you see someone doing really good, is to top them, right?
Well, Veni lets go of ALL inhibitions in a sense, IMMENSELY pissing off Versailles in the process and getting a really big laugh out of Attion. Yes, afterwards, they are both pretty much like SCREW YOU!... to Atti. XD Lone gets jealous, of course... we all know he has that huge crush on Versailles that he doesn't want to reveal. XD
Now... if you know anything about the character of Versailles, you know this: She can be pretty shy, especially in the romance or 'physical' department. It scares the crap out of her, really. Romance, the idea of marriage, much less having a boyfriend-hell, the idea of kissing or touching anyone of the opposite gender both repulses her and freaks her out. She's not lesbian, but she really teeters on bisexual. XD
Another thing about Versailles that you have to understand: She's a fairly smart girl. She likes to think things through. She likes to understand things. Romance, and certain emotions are concpets that are hard for her to understand, despite the fact that her emotions are always very... forceful. (Almost bipolar, really.)
When she's actually happy, she's "WHEEEEEEEEEEE, LET'S RIDE THE ROLLER COASTER!" happy, when she's calm she's REALLY chilled out, and when she's sad I think people just want to buy her candy and cheer her up as soon as possible, she's that gloomy.... also, she goes over emo when she's too sad. XD
She had her equilibrium, though it kinda goes out the window when she finds out she accidentally married Venizin. XD Finding yourself married to a twenty-something looking angel-gone-human-male kinda does that to you. rofl
But like I previously stated: Once she's onstage and those stage lights are on her center, all eyes on her, Versailles is an inspirational singer and performer. She acts out the songs where she can, and will try to dance if she feels like it. Mostly, she focuses on her expression of the song to bring it out.
So... say, the song was Shiver by... this certain lady... (I think her name was Natalie Imbruglio, actually.) .. That song gives you SO much space to emphasize. "I just SHI-VER! I get BENT-UP! When I'm NEAR-YOU, it all gets out of hand..."- for the first bit, she throws back her hand with her arms crossed, her hands on her shoulders. For the second part, she turns her head to either side, emphasizing the beat. The third and fourth part are fluid motions: She straightens her head, putting her hands out in straight (or a semblance thereof) out in front of her, palm up, staring into the audience with something like a passionate glare in her eyes, then she gently turns her head again. It's a cute, almost gentle motion. Innocence. Innocent, maybe, but full of passion for what she's doing: Performing for others.
"...Could I... keep hold... of this... INSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE?!" When she starts singing this part of the song (There's a line or two following up to this, so... something about being on a train, and getting off... something about..> "While drifting off..." but I can't remember exactly.) she already has her head down from the 'beginning' of this part of the song-the break.
Her head is downturned, with her hair in her eyes, obscuring them completely from view while she sings into the mic. By this point she's holding it. She shakes her head a bit to emphasize some of the lyrics, and by this part, she's almost still aside from her shoulders, which are heaving with each emotional breath, each one meant to bring its full sound and emotion to the lyric. Incidentally, Gina does backup here, for the echo involved in this part of the song. n_n
"Could I.. (Could I!) Keep hoold.. (Keep hold!) of thiiis... (Of this!" and for the last two syllables, "INSIIIIIIIDE!" which is held for a semi inspirational while (Hey, at a level that powerful and then going on as long as it did, it really IS at least a little inspiration. Such huge lungs, for such a tiny girl . ^.^) she quickly raises her head, pulling the mic back from her a little bit so it gets enough of her power to not overpower the audience. n_n This inspired some clapping from the majority of the audience, and some 'WOOT's from some of the the boys who probably saw cleavage, as her neck was widely exposed, therefore since the dress is semi low cut= A clear and pleasant view! XD
Finishing it up... RIGHT afterwards (You know, because poor Ven had been... 'inspired', wink wink, nudge nudge, hint hint...) Ven was extremely mad. The song he was supposed to sing lead for was RIGHT after Vers, and so it was going to be embarassing for him to go up there with his male anatomy trying to jump out of his pants. He takes a calming breath, albeit still very mad while Attion teases him.
Anger does things to people. In this case, Venizin completely loses his mind. O_O
I don't mean the berserker rage mode sort of losing your mind.
It's more like you're just not yourself... you're a completely different person. You don't seem to have any inhibitions, and you could go as far as embarassing yourself when you try to embarass someone else, but quite frankly, my dears, you don't give a damn!
THIS is what happens to Ven!
What was supposed to be a simply seductive song with vocals by Ven turns into something like a strip show, touchy mic-ey movements included XD-which causes no end of blushing for Versailles, whose normally pale skin can't go any paler, so she goes red. XD
It does NOT help when your husband is mad at you, and as payback starts essentially stripping to music while dancing around like a (very attractive) model/singer performer, then practically rushes you from behind so you don't know where he came from at a certain point in the song, singing suggestively into your ear-then licks the side of your facec lose to your ear for good measure! >_<- before pulling away very quickly to belt out the ending notes for that part of the song, leaving you-the RHYTHM GUITARIST-almost senseless and very nearly unable to concentrate on playing the impending part, yet miraculously you get it right AND ON TIME! Now YOU'RE pissed off at HIM for nearly making you ******** up the concert, right? Particularly if you're not sure why he tried to do that to you.
It doesn't end there, folks, I'm sad to say. The next song, practically a duet between Versailles and Gina, almost turns into something out of the T.A.T.U "All the things she said" video, nearly giving a combination stroke and heart attack to all males in the band or who are involved in the music. The male mouths that drop open because of the female lip on female neck, cheek, and nearly mouth (though definitely female finger to female lips) are as follows:
Venizin (shocked and of course blushing... then angry because he's been topped again. I think underneath it all, he is also a little-scratch that, a LOT-jealous. XD)
Lone (The girl he has an unfortunate crush on-the one he tutored and babysat when she was just six years younger- is doing things he wished he would never have to see in his entire life time, particularly because it's physically affecting him. Gina's a pretty girl, afterall, as is Versailles.)
Attion (Who quite plainly cannot believe it's happening. "Hey Venizin, I thought she was married to YOU? O_O;" Also, he is mildly turned on. He is, after all, the pervert of the story... well, the biggest one. XD) Hey, "If you won't believe your eyes..." eh?
and finally,
Benji (His girlfriend just touched another girl in ways he kinda wishes she would touch him. It's making him jealous as well as a little hot under the collar. Keep in mind, this is the guy taking care of the special sound effects... of where there are a few at the END of this song, as well as the beginning. XD)
Actually, Benji's friend is there too, but he's like... encouraging it, since he gets over the shock in, like, a millisecond. XD
The girls pull the song off, only huffing from the effort of restraining their laughter. They have a third girl, (I think her name is Sam) video recording this concert, and she got the looks on EVERY male band members face. Let's just say that when they all watched the end result together, it had been edited... but when the girls got together to see it, it was the uncut version, appropriately titled "Band mates Gone Wild."
Or inappropriately so. Whichever.
.... How long have I been TYPING? It's nearly ten! I started around late eight o clock, maybe!? O_O
... KEEEEWL!
